Embark on scenic walks to nearby attractions such as Stanley Ghyll Waterfall (less than 1 mile) with its cantilevered viewing point over the cascades, the picturesque River Esk (approximately 2 miles) with its stepping stones and deep pools, and the nearby historic village of Boot (5.5 miles). Devoke Water (1.5 miles), the largest tarn in the Lake District, is just a short walk from the property, or explore local archaeological sites including Neolithic and Bronze Age stone circles and settlements. Take a short drive to the majestic Wastwater (11 miles), the deepest lake in England, as well as Wasdale Head (13.5 miles) and Scafell Pike (13 miles), or head west to the unspoiled beaches of the Cumbrian coast.
