Guests say

Bewick Lodge receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful location close to Keswick and the Lake District’s scenic walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, modern furnishings, and tranquil surroundings, making it ideal for families, couples, and dog owners. The lodge is noted for being spotlessly clean and well maintained, with many guests keen to return. Minor issues mentioned include WiFi reliability, lack of recycling facilities, and occasional road noise, but these do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience.

Cleanliness is consistently highlighted, with guests describing the lodge as spotless, very clean, and well maintained. Even guests with allergies found the property exceptionally clean, and only one minor mention of dust in a wardrobe was noted.

The location is highly rated for its proximity to Keswick, beautiful countryside views, and access to walks and local attractions. Some guests noted the walk to town is slightly longer than advertised, and a few mentioned road noise, but overall feedback is very positive.

Guests frequently mention the lodge’s comfort, with praise for the beds, sofas, and overall warmth. The property is described as spacious and relaxing, though one review noted it felt a little cramped with four adults.

Facilities are generally excellent, with a well-equipped kitchen, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches. Minor issues include unreliable WiFi, lack of recycling bins, and occasional shortages of bin bags, but these are outweighed by the positive feedback.

There are no specific mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful gestures in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Lovely lodge within walking distance of Keswick and it is a lovely walk! Well equipped and comfortably decorated. We had a dog with us and it is light coloured carpets which was a challenge but the veranda was great for dog washing. My only downside was the road noise. I would recommend and it would be great for those with children too. Perfect location for exploring the northern lakes

Generally the lodge was very clean and tidy only the bedroom wardrobe was dusty.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Close the nearest pub and only a short walk to the town centre. Plenty of good hikes and even the weather was friendly. Thank you

Perfect accomodation on a quiet immaculate site. The lodge is conveniently located just off A66. It has all the necessary equipment, comfortable beds, well maintained and spotlessly clean. It makes for a lovely holiday despite the weather.
