Situated in the heart of Threlkeld village, which boasts 2 excellent pubs serving food, it is ideally situated with easy access to Skiddaw and the Keswick fells and lakes. Excellent walking and cycling from the doorstep on the C2C cycle route. There is also a play area and playing field opposite. Keswick, 4 miles. You can cycle or walk to Keswick via the old railway line; there is also a frequent bus service. Keswick Golf Club ½ mile from the village. This is a perfect village for a good base for activites or ideal for that ’get away from it all’ holiday. Shop 4 miles, 2 pubs 500 metres.

A wonderful cottage with everything you could possibly need for a holiday in the lakes. Owners really friendly and approachable. There is a lovely conservatory that you can relax in and see the mountains and a lovely garden to relax or have a BBQ in. We really recommend Apple tree cottage and hope to visit again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Apple Tree Cottage. The owners live next door, and are very helpful and friendly. It’s a nicely furnished spacious house, with a well-equipped kitchen and 3 good-sized bedrooms. We particularly enjoyed sitting in the light and airy conservatory.

Had the most amazing stay. Location is fantastic as the views are beautiful. Cottage has everything you could need and is really comfortable. We were super lucky with the weather but having the conservatory was a lovely option when it was too hot or windy outside. Great to be able to walk straight out of the cottage onto the Fells or down the fantastic walk into Keswick down the old railway track. Local pubs and coffee shops in walking distance and had some nice meals. There’s a lovely picnic spot accessed via the carpark just up the hill. We were a couple, my Dad and our dog and we all loved it.
