Situated in the heart of Threlkeld village, which boasts 2 excellent pubs serving food, it is ideally situated with easy access to Skiddaw and the Keswick fells and lakes. Excellent walking and cycling from the doorstep on the C2C cycle route. There is also a play area and playing field opposite. Keswick, 4 miles. You can cycle or walk to Keswick via the old railway line; there is also a frequent bus service. Keswick Golf Club ½ mile from the village. This is a perfect village for a good base for activites or ideal for that ’get away from it all’ holiday. Shop 4 miles, 2 pubs 500 metres.

Very comfortable homely cottage , in a very good location in the Lakes for walking with Blencathra on your doorstep.. There’s also a lovely 4 mile walk into the centre of Keswick along an old disused railway track. There are two pubs and a very good cafe in the village, what more could you ask for.

My family had a lovely stay for the week.The cottage is lovely with a big park across the road. It has everything you need. Heating worked great. Plenty of hot water. The kitchen was fully equiped, large fridge freezer, baking equipment which was brilliant, slow cooker etc. The conservatory was a good chilled out space, very comfortable. Very easy check in. Threlkeld is a nice and quiet village but not too far from Keswick etc. - plenty of buses etc. Loads of walks straight from house.

A wonderful cottage with everything you could possibly need for a holiday in the lakes. Owners really friendly and approachable. There is a lovely conservatory that you can relax in and see the mountains and a lovely garden to relax or have a BBQ in. We really recommend Apple tree cottage and hope to visit again!
