Guests say

Overwater Lodge is praised for its beautiful location, tranquility, and wildlife encounters. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, stunning views, and the cosy atmosphere despite some maintenance issues. The property offers a chance for digital detox due to limited connectivity, encouraging guests to engage with each other.

The property is generally described as clean, with one mention of spectacular bathrooms. However, there is a single remark about dirty windows, suggesting minor attention to detail could improve the cleanliness score.

The location is highly praised for its quietness, tranquility, and beautiful rural setting with stunning views and wildlife. The remote aspect is seen as a positive feature, contributing to the property's peaceful charm.

Guests find the property comfortable, with special mentions of a house that 'wraps itself around you' and a relaxing bath with a view. Some concerns about a cramped downstairs shower and heating issues slightly affect the comfort score.

The facilities are well-regarded, especially the well-stocked kitchen. However, there are several maintenance issues noted, such as heating problems, an oven door that doesn't close properly, and confusion over the bathroom facilities. Updated information and minor repairs could enhance the experience.

The welcome box is mentioned as a nice touch, indicating thoughtfulness. It should be noted that while such gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Lovely house and location, Well equipped kitchen. Unfortunately we did not have a fire starter kit and it was extremely cold with snow on the ground and the house was cold when we arrived. The heating worked, but mostly at night, so I think the heating timer needs reprogramming. The oven door does not close properly so we needed to wedge it with a chair, for it to function effectively. These can be easily rectified and then it would be absolutely perfect!!

A house that wraps itself round you. - especially when you arrive in a storm. Well stocked with everything you need with Beautiful views, no WiFi and bad mobile reception that forces you talk to everyone in the house. Just what we needed and we'll be back. The welcome box was a nice touch - Thank you very much !
