Guests say

Guests have had enjoyable stays at Belle View, praising its prime location in Bowness, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The property is described as clean, comfortable, and well-suited for families, with ample space and a warm atmosphere. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many considering a return visit.

The property is generally regarded as clean, with several reviews mentioning it being cleaned to a high standard. However, a few guests noted areas for improvement, such as mould in the bathroom and a stained kitchen sink.

The location is highly praised for its convenience, being a short walk from the centre of Bowness and local attractions. It is also well-known to local cab drivers, adding to its accessibility.

The property is described as comfortable and cosy, particularly the beds. However, some guests felt that the accommodation might be tight for six adults, and the bunk bed in the third bedroom was not ideal.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable furnishings. However, there are reports of a non-functional dryer, a broken towel rail, and other minor maintenance issues that slightly detract from the overall experience.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Great week in the lakes, despite some rain. Our only gripe (minor) is that we could only get live TV, despite there being a Roku stick to hand. These days, a smart TV should be regarded as being the minimum standard.Gripe over, the flat was clean, comfortable and cosily warm. A very big plus is it's situation in that it is only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bowness for shops and restaurants. There were only two of us so we had plenty of room whereas 6 might be a bit tight.I normally test my cottages against two basic criteria:1. Was it value for money?2. Would I go back again? At this time of year it was certainly excellent value for money and I' m seriously considering re- booking it for November 2026.

Really enjoyed the stay, very well known accommodation to all the local cab drivers and very friendly behaviour of neighbours as well.

Everything about the accommodation was first class. It had been cleaned to a high standard, the towels were all laid out and the lights and heating all worked. The only criticisms are that the dryer doesn't work (it makes a loud grating noise and there is no heat) and the towel rail doesn't work so it is difficult to dry towels etc with both drying methods not operative.
