Most guests found the property to be immaculately clean, providing a comfortable base for their holiday. However, a couple of reviews mentioned minor cleaning oversights, such as crumbs on the sofa and a dirty rug, which slightly impacted the overall impression.

The property's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to Keswick, making it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District. The spectacular views and beautiful gardens contribute to the serene atmosphere.

The property is lauded for its well-appointed kitchen and high-quality fixtures. However, there were minor points raised about maintenance, such as issues with a frying pan not working on the induction hob and suggestions for improvements like a soap dish in the shower.

The property is very large, comfortable and with all the amenities needed for a vacation in The Lakes. It is well positioned with Keswick only a short drive away and there is good access to the coast and fell walks.

The rooms were spacious and elegant, and had lovely big windows - 12 ft high on the upper floor, I am guessing - so it was full of light. We enjoyed walking in the beautiful grounds. The kitchen was particularly well-equipped. Our bed was very comfortable - excellent mattress. A couple of minor "picky" points: We would have liked to have been able to drive the car round the house nearer to the back door for unloading and loading the car, instead of having to make a a lot of trips round the house. Parking in slot 2 afterwards would have been fine. Similarly, it would have been nice to have the dustbin with the others just outside the back door, and not to have to carry it all the way round the house. And a soap dish or little shelf for soap/shampoo would have been the icing on the cake in the very nice shower.
