Close by you can visit the pretty and historic villages of Long Melford, Lavenham, and Finchingfield, ‘the most photographed village in England’. Constable country is just around the corner, as is the market town of Sudbury. It is 1¾ miles to Chappel and Wakes Colne railway station, which connects to Marks Tey allowing you to get into London in under one hour. Colchester Castle is 8½ miles and Earls Colne a 15-minute walk away. Beach 13 miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants ¾ mile.

A lovely lodge located at the bottom of a long private gated drive, with field views. The velux window in the bedroom could do with a blind as the bedroom was flooded with light at 5am. The host is friendly & quickly sorted a minor issue with the hot tub. The lodge itself is looking a bit tired, with many little DIY jobs outstanding. The hot tub is also past it’s best with all few bits needing replacement- although this didn’t affect use.

Lovely quiet secluded location Ideal for a break awayUnfortunately the hot tub was not working when we arrived the owner tried but still didn't work. I ended up cleaning the filters as they was clogged up and had not been serviced properly.
