This brand new (in 2022), loft-style, first floor apartment is set above the on-site farm shop on a fruit farm in the Essex countryside, and provides fabulous holiday accommodation, perfect for a couple looking to get away for a short break or week long stay. The open-plan living space boasts a kingsize bed, with a defined living and dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. The bathroom gives you the choice of a relaxing soak in the large bath or a quick shower under a rainfall shower. Russets is set within a fruit farm where you can pick your own plums in season, or purchase some of the delicious local honey on offer.
Set within the Epping Forest District of Essex, this area provides lots to do and explore, including the steam railway which starts from Chipping Ongar, only 3 miles away, which winds through the beautiful Essex countryside. We had a lovely stay at Russets, visiting London, via nearby Epping, and the local area. James was really helpful , especially finding suggestions for eating out, as my wife has coeliac disease. We certainly hope to visit again.

Lovely place to stay and great for my dog who enjoyed the underfloor heating whilst on his dog bed and his walks around the orchard. Beautiful location to wake up to and accommodation well equipped and very cosy and welcoming.

A birthday treat, a peaceful retreat and a lovely place to stay. James was over and above as a host and a really nice individual.Loved the fact of no dog charge which is such a refreshing bonus as most places seem to apply it as a money making opportunity !Lots of thought given to comfort and ease with many unexpected extras.Overall, a great place to stay with an additional great host.
