We booked this property for a taste of "Escape to the Country" and it did not disappoint. It's a well appointed cottage in the Essex countryside, surrounded by fields and a small lake. It is somewhat in the middle of nowhere, which impacts possible day trips one might like to take; conversely, offers peace and quiet. Attentive hostess. The nearby village of Finchingfield is delightful, quintessentially English.
