The views over the countryside are lovely and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the alpacas and horses in adjoining fields. We were fortunate to have a spectacular sunset to view too. Our dog was thrilled with the fenced off orchard garden where she could be off lead. She also enjoyed the local, well signed footpaths. It was the perfect base for us to visit family in the area. The property is compact but the bathroom is a good size and the shower is very good. The bed was comfortable and whilst we didn’t use them the cooking facilities are good. The fridge is quite small but we removed the small wire shelf to store litre sized milk and fruit juice. The owner Evelynne was friendly and helpful and I would recommend the property for a countryside break.

The chimenea was used every night, so pleased that we had that. The Hut itself was compact but there was enough room for us. The only drawback was the size of the fridge, it was way too small, we did have a cool box with us but there was nowhere to refreeze the blocks. This would be particularly difficult in the summer and there is room for a bigger fridge to be put in, maybe instead of the decorative wood burner that just takes up space that could be utilised better. A lovely few days was had but not sure we would return, mainly due to the fridge situation, which is a shame as everything else was good.

Evelynne is an excellent host, even down to rescuing me from a giant spider which had temporarily moved in. Fabulous location, accommodation and just the piece and quiet anyone would need.
