Lying in North East Derbyshire, and surrounded by farmland is the small village of Marsh Lane. The location offers easy access to many of Derbyshire's delightful attractions, including the stunning Peak District, as well as being equally close to the steel city of Sheffield. The nearby villages host a selection of country pubs whose food ranges from delicious home made treats to bespoke seasonal menus; so everyone can find something to tickle their tastebuds. The surrounding Moss Valley, so named due to the river Moss which flows through it, is home to Eckington Woods and Bluebell Woods, the latter due to it’s beautiful abundance of the flowers in the springtime. The area is popular for ramblers and mountain bikers alike with the woods being a great spot for a walk; admiring the ‘Seldom Seen’ engine house as it appears from the surrounding trees on your way past and perhaps stopping in a local pub before you make your way back home to the farm. The facilities and decor were lovely and the owners were very helpful with any enquiries we had. The cowshed is very spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The kitchen was well stocked and the use of the hot tub in the evenings was nice, the added drinks shelf is a brilliant addition.

Hot tub was well used. The welcome pack of homemade scones with clotted cream, jam, Prosecco and flowers was lovely. Would definitely revisit. Thank you Chloe, Karen and Allen.
