Situated at the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Stables is ideally placed for exploring the varied landscapes and attractions of this much loved region. The surrounding countryside is particularly popular with walkers and cyclists, offering a wide choice of quiet lanes, public footpaths and bridleways that wind through farmland, villages and open countryside. Many routes can be enjoyed directly from the doorstep, making it easy to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. The Stables is just a short drive from the cathedral city of Lincoln and less than an hour from the coast.

Cyclists are well catered for, with gentle rides across the Lincolnshire plains and more challenging routes heading into the Wolds. Nearby Woodhall Spa is home to the River Witham off road cycle route, which links directly to the historic city of Lincoln, providing a traffic free way to explore the city on two wheels. Walkers will also find plenty to enjoy, with countryside rambles, nature reserves and scenic viewpoints all close by. Families and groups can enjoy local market towns, independent shops, welcoming country pubs and a range of heritage attractions, ensuring there is something to suit every interest throughout the year.

The Stables is located within the grounds of our working arable farm and dates back to Victorian times, when it originally housed the draft horses that worked the land. Converted into a cottage some years ago and recently renovated, it now offers comfortable single level accommodation with a modern country style. Views from the property extend across open farmland, with the historic Car Dyke located nearby.

This self contained, self catering cottage features two adaptable bedrooms, each offering either twin beds or a super king arrangement. There is a bathroom with a beautiful roll top bath and separate shower, along with a well equipped kitchen with modern fan oven and electric hob, and dining for four. The living room provides a comfortable space to relax, with Smart TV, Freeview and WiFi. Patio doors lead to a private patio with countryside views, while a fully fenced grassed garden sits to the front. Parking for two to three cars is available, and up to two dogs are welcome.
