Had a lovely stay over Christmas. Very spacious. Well stocked kitchen for the cooking. But very strict rules. Had to strip the beds ourselves on last morning. Asked us to hoover before we left. No shoes allowed on in the property. Felt like we were being lectured by my mum. Says the place is dog friendly but dog not allowed on sofa or beds or left alone at any time. Didn’t feel very welcome. I would say more for older people than families

What a fabulous place to stay. The owner made us feel incredibly welcome even before wed arrived, with loads of recommendations on what to do. The cottage itself was roomy and comfortable; and just as described in the listings. Every little thing had been thought of inside, with plenty of little extras in the kitchen which made it feel like a home away from home. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone looking for a Lincolnshire retreat. We loved visiting the cathedral and castle, and even drove over to the seaside to see the seal pups at Donna Nook.

We spent a lovely weekend at Peacock Barn, in the middle of some beautiful countryside perfect for great days out exploring villages and pubs!Peacock Barn is a wonderful 3 bedroom accommodation, spotlessly clean with a kitchen full of every appearance and utensils for any size of meal, it has a log burner for cosy nights in and a collection of DVD’s and Games. We didn’t use the fishing lake which did look very well stocked with fish, but we did take advantage of the nature walk around it which has a vast array of wildlife and would be of interest!10 out of 10 would be a good score for any other accommodation but Peacock Barn is more like Spinal Tap’s Amplifier and that’s 11.
