This smartly furnished, detached, contemporary holiday home is peacefully situated in the village of Timberland, overlooking the lawns and fishing lake of Peacock Waters (silverfish and carp to 31lb). Excellent cycling territory, with the ’water railway’ riverside path 5 miles away leading to Woodhall Spa, Lincoln, Tattershall and Boston. Woodhall Spa (6 miles) offers the ’Kinema in the Woods’ - a unique cinema experience - the summer swimming lido, tennis and a championship golf course. Horncastle (10 miles) has varied vintage shops. Coningsby (9 miles) is home to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The city of Lincoln with medieval cathedral, castle and smart shopping is 15 miles. Newark is 25 miles and the east coast beaches are approximately 35 miles. Pub just under 1 mile away.

Excellent hosts clean every thing one needs for a good holiday

Despite having very poor weather we found the surrounding countryside beautiful and so green. Peacock Barns is so peaceful and quiet with views over the lake. We liked the fact that you walk to a really good local pub serving good food. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very well equipped although we didn’t cook much.

Our third visit to Peacock Barn and definitely not the last! Amanda & Family are brilliant! You are never made to feel as just another guest….more as friends visiting for a few days.Location for us is ideal and the Barn really does have everything you need for a comfortable stay.Already looking for dates to come back and stay again !!
