Named for the numerous hares which live on the farmland, Lepus Lodge offers the opportunity to experience nature close at hand, yet is just a short drive from historic Lincoln with its towering cathedral, castle and a wide range of shops, and the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds.
Lepus Lodge is situated adjacent to the county showground and within 3 miles of RAF Scampton, home of the famous Red Arrows display team. Doddington Hall, Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest, Hemswell Antique Centres and the coast are all in easy reach. Use of a tennis court and easy walking. Shop 3 miles. Pub 2½ miles.

Lepus Lodge has the makings of a quiet and relaxing holiday but as it sits on the border of Lincolshire Show ground which isn't disclosed in the description on the accommodation so you need to check what is on before you book. We turned up for a relaxing bank holiday break only to find out it was truck fest weekend with over 1000 / 2000 trucks on display and sounding their horns basically all weekend until 10 o'clock each night. It's also worth pointing out you have an identical lodge next to you as well as and it is part of a camping site just in case you thought you would be alone. You look out onto a wild meadow as the photo indicated but look slightly right and the touring caravans are looking at you. That said we would return but after doing our checks.

Whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee looking out over the surrounding landscape or settling in for a quiet evening, it’s a place that encourages you to switch off completely. Even on colder days, the excellent heating makes it feel wonderfully snug.Lepus Lodge is ideal for a short break. If you’re looking for somewhere to recharge, with comfort and calm in equal measure, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended.
