Set alongside a fishing lake, and with its own private hot tub, this beautiful lodge is on a quiet park, with a golf course next to it, which has a bar and restaurant. The lodge has two ground floor bedrooms, and the living room has a mezzanine with a double sofa bed for a further two guests. Lincoln is close by with its cathedral, castle and the Magna Carta visitor centre, which are all worth visiting. There are many shops, bars and good restaurants to be found in the Bailgate area. Newark Showground, which is famous for its huge International Antiques and Collectors Fairs, as well as many other events, is a 10 minute drive. Lincolnshire Showground is about a 15 minute drive away. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

We had a peaceful relaxing week hereKitchen well equipped if you wanted to cater for yourself New Wetherspoons opened just hairs breath away and local pubs within 10 minutes driveHubby loved the fishing and the peace and quiet was brilliant Ideal location for visit to coast or other amenities Garden centre close by was amazing

This was a comfortable, clean and well furnished lodge with everything we needed. The view onto the small fishing lake was pleasant as we watched ducks, coots and a heron as well as one or two folk fishing and going about their day. The hot tub was very good and it was reassuring that this was well maintained and monitored daily while we were there by a friendly hot tub technician.It was a shame that there was no direct pedestrian access to the golf club and cafe just next door, beyond the hedgerow and the neighbouring nature reserve and walks. However, these are just a few minutes drive away, and very friendly and welcoming with good cafes for breakfast or lunch Lincoln is also very near by car, or by bus from the neighbouring village, and we enjoyed visiting the city and exploring the area.There is even an A46 services area just up the road with McDonald's, Hickory's Smokehouse and a newly opened Wetherspoons and more!We enjoyed our time at Campbell Lodge and would be happy to stay here again.
