Situated on a section of the River Steeping known as the ’Haven’, these beautifully converted cottages offer cosy, stylish holiday accommodation in a peaceful, picturesque location and enjoy country views. All three properties have the added benefit of a private hot tub. Originally agricultural buildings dating from 1872, access to the cottages is via a private lane on the owner’s arable farm, which itself is steeped in history. Guests are welcome to explore over 80 acres of riverbank and tracks, ideal for wildlife watching and romantic strolls. Just 800 yards away is the medieval town of Wainfleet All Saints. Here visitors will find a weekly market and street auctions, pubs, a famous brewery with visitor tours, restaurants and shops. Award-winning sandy beaches, family entertainment and amusements can be found 5 miles away in Skegness, and Fantasy Island fun park is 8 miles. Gunby Hall is 7 miles and Tattersall Castle 15 miles, both National Trust. Horncastle, famous for antiques, is 15 miles and the medieval cathedral city of Lincoln is 40 miles. Travelling with two dogs and an impatient 10 year old girl is never an easy nor to be honest pleasant experience however when you finally arrive and your accommodation is as lovely as river cottage with the amazing Chris who has patiently awaited our usual late Arrival with such friendliness we immediately felt at home. The facilities were great and we had no problems at all with everything inside bar one which wouldn’t affect everyone but did us which is that sound proofing when you have hard of hearing people or very loud snorers that you need to raise a tv volume above average may disturb the attached properties.With two dogs inevitably you’re constantly fighting dog hairs etc but the property benefits from hard floors throughout which made it so easy. We all enjoyed the hot tub and it was a hit with the 10 year old and despite not meeting any other kids my daughter really enjoyed the village location and peace and quiet. Only a short drive away were more lively activities such as the theme park so we had the best of both worlds. The garden and outside area was lovely and well kept however if you have a dog that is either less obedient or constantly looking for a challenge the fences were low and our lab x collie easily jumped out but again it wasn’t a major issue . Chris is an absolute diamond and anything we needed or asked was always available and to be honest I suspect nothing would ever be too much or rattle him at all. We would definitely happily return

Absolutely lovely cottage with a private hot-tub,, the cottage (River cottage) has everything you need for a few nights or longer away, the complimentary drinks and biscuits were a nice addition, the cottage is furnished to a high standard and very well kept. Very peaceful area, great location for visiting the surrounding area. the local village is only a short walk or drive away. I Would recommend staying here and would definitely return.
