Aspen House is a spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated house in the sleepy village of Windley set in its own secret little valley. Full of quality and character there are lime washed walls, sumptuous sofas, a glowing log burning stove, country style kitchen, four superb bedrooms and two lovely bathrooms with roll top baths and separate showers.   

Sit in the sunny conservatory or the terraced garden as it tumbles into the valley and you could be in the middle of nowhere. Inquisitive sheep will look over the fence and just bird song will break the silence. But you can step out along the lane to the 'Tiger' pub with its award winning cask ales or enjoy a walk across the valley to the Cock Inn with its great food.

Nearby Ashbourne is a must with its lovely market square, country stores and many restaurants. Turn the other way and discover Belper with its award winning high street full of interesting little shops. Matlock is just to the north with all the Peak District attractions in the surrounding hills - Matlock Bath's 'little Switzerland' gorge, Peak Rail's steam trains, magnificent Chatsworth House, picturesque Monsall Dale and the Derwent Valley Dams ? to name but a few.

A second, larger lounge with views of the garden, settees, arm chairs and stereo system. An attractive quarry tiled dining room with large table and chairs opening into a sunny conservatory. A country style kitchen with quarry tiled floor, log burning stove, breakfast table and chairs, double sink, range cooker, microwave, large fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A utility room with automatic washer. Two lovely double bedrooms, one with a distressed wooden bed and the other with a cast iron bed. Two similarly attractive twin bedrooms with brass and cast iron beds. A beautifully tiled bathroom with roll top bath, large shower and W.C. Second classy bathroom with roll top bath, large walk- in shower and W.C. A downstairs cloakroom with W.C.

Linen and towels are provided. Central heating, power and an initial supply of fuel for the fire and stove are included. A cot and high chair can be requested. There is a large terraced garden with furniture. Parking for four/five cars is available. Pets and smoking are not permitted. Access for people with disabilities may be difficult.

Weekly bookings are normally Friday to Friday but short breaks are available throughout the year excluding Xmas and New Year.
