The modern designer kitchen features a very high end range and is perfect for preparing a feast to be enjoyed in the lovely dining room featuring double French windows out to the garden. The spacious sitting room has a woodburning stove and provides a comfortable and cosy retreat at the end of the day. Two of the bedrooms and a bathroom are on the ground floor which is ideal if there’s a member of the group who doesn’t get on with stairs. Both feature patio doors out to a sheltered courtyard area with fabulous views and the stunning bathroom includes a luxurious roll-top bath as well as a large separate shower. Two further bedrooms on the first floor are equally luxurious as are the two designer shower rooms. There’s also a little quiet reading area on the landing. The beautifully manicured lawn is a fantastic place for the kids to play and the owner has left plenty of garden toys to keep them occupied. For the adults, the cottage is pitch side to the local cricket club and what could be more quintessentially English than taking tea on the lawn and watching the game with the sounds of leather on willow and cries of “howzat?”. Tear yourself away and you have lots of choice to fill your days, with beautiful Winster one mile away and Bakewell and Matlock five miles in each direction. The small peaceful village of Elton is situated in a superb elevated position on the White Peak Plateau, in the heart of the Peak District National Park. More than 900ft above sea level and with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, the village is a popular centre for walkers, lying within a few miles of the Tissington and High Peak walking/cycling trails and The Limestone Way.
