About this property

Ocean Wave is a high standard, contemporary apartment backing onto Weymouth’s Esplanade boasting one of the finest uninterrupted sea views in Weymouth. The apartment is tastefully furnished and very comfortable throughout.

The contemporary, fully equipped kitchen suits all needs and perfect for preparing family meals. The sitting room/ diner is a comfortable setting in which to enjoy your meal, after eating, put up your feet and unwind after a day exploring or walking along the esplanade. The patio doors light up the room letting in the summer sun. Both bedrooms are tranquil places to sleep well, preparing you for another full and exciting day.

Ocean Wave has its own personal, private enclosed garden with a gate leading onto the promenade and shingle beach. The garden is terraced and laid to patio and lawn with a separate BBQ area.

An early morning brisk promenade walk will set you up for the day. Enjoy alfresco breakfast on the patio while watching the rising of the sun admiring the various sailing activities going on in the bay. Listen to the gentle lapping of the waves on the beach and gaze at the twinkling lights around Weymouth Bay in the evening while enjoying a glass of wine. Weymouth caters for all ages offering a holiday for all tastes including sailing, windsurfing, cliff walks, bird watching, golden sandy beaches and a magical harbour. The town and harbour have numerous places to eat ranging from gourmet restaurants, coffeehouses and pubs to traditional fish and chips on the harbour wall.

Ocean Wave is located close to Greenhill Gardens in the sought-after quieter side of Weymouth; only a 15 minutes level walk along the sea front to the town centre.

Greenhill is Weymouth notorious for it’s many pretty pastel beach huts, well maintained gardens and pebbly beach that at lower tides leads to sand. The beach is often less busy than the main sandy Weymouth beach and so often popular with those who want a slightly quieter beach day. There are a choice of beach side café’s to choose from as well as a pitch and putt and tennis. There are many Georgian houses which front along the esplanade with extensive sea views and walking the esplanade day dreaming about the beautiful houses is a common past time. It’s a short 10-15-minute stroll from Greenhill into Weymouth main town centre, where you can find winding lanes with local independent shops for browsing as well as high street favourites. Greenhill is the ideal location for people want to be close to the centre without being in it.

The sound proofing was virtually nonexistent, we could clearly hear foot steps, conversations, their TV, and during the night, snoring. Fortunately for us they moved in on our last day of our stay. We weren’t too pleased with the cleanliness of the apartment. It was apparent that the floors hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped for some time, and the surfaces were unclean. Two other issues were that the freezer was not working, and the glass shelf in the bathroom is dangerous. I tried to avoid catching my head on the shelf but had difficulty missing it. The shelf should be raised up or removed.
