Chickerell village has shops, two public houses, a restaurant, chemist and post office. The Turks Head, just a few minutes' walk from Fossil Barn is well regarded locally as it provides good portions of home cooked food available both inside and in the pub garden.  The village itself is just outside the town boundary of Weymouth, a Georgian seaside resort which you can dip into easily if you would like a day on the sandy beach and a walk along the pretty harbour in addition to exploring the Jurassic coast hunting for fossils which the Dorset coast is becoming world famous for and Fossil Barn is ideally placed to do. A gorgeous Dorset welcome awaits when you arrive at Fossil Barn, fresh and delicious Dorset apple cake (the apples are picked from the garden) to accompany the welcome tea and coffee, a perfect way to settle you into your holiday.

Accommodation:  Stone & Oak Barn with access via Stable Door to kitchen with dining area.  Solid Oak floors throughout.  Large Oak Garden Room lounge.  Bedroom 1, twin single or kingsized beds .  Bedroom 2, kingsize bed, en suite shower, heated towel rail, hand basin and toilet. Bathroom, bath with shower over, heated towel rail, hand basin and toilet. Approximately 12 low rise steps from parking area to front stable door.
