Nestled in the little village of Wyke Regis, on the south western side of Weymouth, is this delightful property, Lagoon View. Affording glorious, uninterrupted sea views, Lagoon View invites families of five looking to escape to this charming Dorset location. After a day on the beach, wash away the sand in the shower room before heading to the open-plan living space to reflect on the adventures, equipped with a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite shows. Cross over to the kitchen and get to work on a home-favourite dish, whilst the dining table is set with crockery and a bottle of fizz is agreed upon.
Patio doors lead out to the extensive lawn where you can enjoy a cold beverage whilst your canine companion roams the space. Wyke Regis is a village on the south western side of Weymouth that sits on the northern edges of Portland Harbour and reaches as far as the back of Chesil beach and The Fleet, just two miles from the centre of Weymouth. There are local shops, cafés and restaurants including the famous Crab House café, with it’s own oyster beds on the doorstep. The National Sailing School, an Olympic legacy, offers a wide variety of water sports and is just two miles away on the edge of Portland Harbour. The Fleet Lagoon that runs between Wyke Regis and Chesil beach is an important area for wildlife and there are many species of birds to be seen in the area, whilst Chesil beach is also a renowned spot for fishing. The Fleet is probably most famous for being the testing ground for Barnes Wallis’s bouncing bomb, immortalised in the film the Dam Busters. Wyke Regis is the perfect location from which to explore many of Dorset’s most iconic locations on the Jurassic Coast.

Kitchen had all utensils you would need. Access to hoover ironing board etc. Lovely grassed garden, great location with stunning views and great local walks for the dogs. Local pub friendly. Would definitely return. Only downside â¦â¦ had to go home

As soon as we arrived we loved the property, and the view was fantastic. The whole place was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. Lovely soft white towels. Vase of alstroemeria in the kitchen were beautiful. There is a large enclosed garden which Daisy loved. The only downside is the shower was not very powerful, even though the water pressure was good downstairs, and the bedding was not cotton. Apart from that I would recommend to other future guests. We had a lovely week
