"Spent a lovely few days in North Town Cottage visiting various places around Okehampton and beyond. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped for our stay. The cream tea on arrival was a bonus with milk in the fridge and tea bags/coffee to make a drink to go with it. We had a couple of meals at the pub over the road which we're good not your average pub grub ! Zoe was very welcoming and it was a pleasure to meet Oakley ( the dog). We were very lucky with the lovely weather."

"A very charming little cottage, with parking and a garden. Sampford Courtenay is ideally situated for exploring. The downside to the cottage is that it is on a crossroads and the traffic noise is incessant night and day. We appreciate it's hay making time but numerous lorries and tankers pass through there. Sadly that would stop us returning. The ground floor living area is lovely and provides everything you need. However there were two problems upstairs. In the smaller bedroom the mattress needs replacing, it had a huge dip in the middle, which was aggravated by the sloping floorboards, we tried turning it over but it was still the same, so did not provide support or a comfortable nights sleep. In the main bedroom the floorboards slope in all sorts of directions but the biggest problem is that there is a step up in the middle of the room which is fine during the day but when dark is easy to forget, and my husband tripped over it but luckily wasn't injured. Other guests have mentioned it and a danger tape has been stuck on it but as previously suggested, if the floor was levelled with a step at the door to the bedroom the problem would be resolved."
