Converted from a little barn next to the owner's house in a minute farming hamlet within a mile of Aveton Gifford is this sweet cottage. Set in lovely countryside and with a bright interior with relaxing colours and wood floors, it is relaxing accommodation for a small family or couples. Head up the steps into your sitting room with a handy dining area and TV. Off this is the efficient kitchen, well equipped and leading you to your two comfortable bedrooms. Outside you can sit out and enjoy alfresco lunches and suppers, perhaps taking advantage of the ready meals available, on your sunny terrace with a table and chairs. You also have your own parking area where you can leave your canoes and kayaks, useful if you are going to enjoy paddling along the beautiful River Avon or along the stunning coastline. This is a particularly lovely stretch of the South Devon coast with excellent surfing and sandcastling beaches at Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea and lots of rock pooling havens for whiling away the hours. The South West Coast Path is a brilliant route for walkers, providing fantastic views and pretty villages to stop off in for a little refreshment. Kingsbridge is an interesting old town with interesting shops to browse and a range of eateries. Torrings Barn is a comfortable and welcoming cottage for exploring the pretty South Hams and recharging your energy levels.

Comfortable beds, good shower. Access to barn is down narrow lanes so need to be confident driver. Location good as near beaches and coastal towns. Advised owner of dripping tap.
Zena
It was in a very quiet location yet conveniently placed for places of interest near by. We found some great walks and local pubs for good food where dogs were very welcome. We would definitely stay again.
Nichola
Good size for two adults and two teenage children. Fab shower, well resourced kitchen, comfy settee and beds. Lovely walk from near the cottage that joins to the Avon Estuary walk. We had a relaxing stay here many thanks.
