Gardens: Rustic steps lead down from the parking space to the property through enclosed large rear garden, lawn, wild flower area and paved terraces with local flagstone, views to the river bank. Whilst Lyme cottage does not have formal gardens, its ample grounds lie to the rear. From the kitchen door, three levels of old stone terracing catch the sun and provide ideal places for alfresco dining with garden furniture or sunbathing. Further set of steps then lead up to two large grassy areas, amidst trees, perfect for games, as well as a small decked area looking across toward the River Coly.

The cottage can also be accessed from the road through a fully enclosed stone walled and gated front garden to the thatched entranced porch.

Additional Information:Pets welcome, a fixed charge of £30 pw or part week per pet. Non smokers only.

Care to be taken some low ceilings and doorways. Care with young children in the terraced gardens.

Short Breaks: These are available between October and March excluding school and Bank Holidays.

Location and Area:Excellent PO/general stores/butcher, 2 inns, restaurants, local Nature Reserve, all a few minutes walk away in the village.

Excellent riverside walk to Colyton on the doorstep. The famous tramway with a stop at Colyford runs along the stunning Axe Valley to Seaton in one direction and Colyton in the other.

The popular small seaside town of Seaton with superb beach, Esplanade, Harbour, shops, two supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, golf course and cliff top walks on this Jurassic Coast, a mile away. The coastal town of Lyme Regis is an easy 15-minute drive over the Devon border into Dorset, offering a wide variety of activities – fossil hunting, fishing trips and coastal walks including the Undercliff Nature Reserve to Seaton.

A 10-minute drive to the small coastal resorts of Beer and Branscombe.
