When the night draws to a close, take yourself up stairs to the first floor where you will find three charming bedrooms and a stylish bathroom. A super-king-size bed houses bedroom two (which can be changed to twin beds on request), which boasts a lovely ornamental fireplace, exposed beams and an en-suite shower room.

Overlooking the lane below and boasting another super-king-size bed (which can also be changed to twin beds on request) is bedroom three which is elegantly furnished.

The fourth bedroom is a spacious room containing stone mullion windows and impressive exposed beams, it benefits from a king-size bed and has an en-suite shower room.

Concluding the first floor is the stylish bathroom.

Hidden behind a door next to bedroom two is a second flight of stairs leading straight into the master bedroom in the eaves of the property. This bright and airy bedroom offers attractive views across the village and towards Broadwell Hill and contains a welcoming king-size bed. The master benefits from a luxurious en-suite bathroom which is accessed up a small step and contains a welcoming roll-top bath, wonderful for a long soak with a glass of wine.

In the morning, make your way down to the utility room and open the door up to the attractive patio garden to enjoy your morning tea or coffee. Housing a Rattan furniture set, with large parasol and fire pit, the garden is a tranquil space. Surrounding pleached Hornbeam trees give privacy to the well-maintained garden (kept by the owner who is a professional gardener) and beautiful flower beds and shrubs have been carefully planted to ensure year-round blooming.

There are plenty of places to see and visit around Broadwell. Whether you love hiking, cycling, or exploring, Broadwell is a region where hidden gems are waiting to be explored and visited. One of the undiscovered beauty spots of the Cotswolds, Broadwell has it all; a broad village green ringed by lovely Cotswold stone cottages, a gentle stream running through the village, a popular inn, and a Norman church with some intriguing historical monuments.

Local Bourton-on-the-Water's mix of pretty cottages and honey-coloured brick houses give it an undeniable charm. Delightful arched bridges span the River Windrush, the small river responsible for giving Bourton its 'Venice of the Cotswolds' tag. You can discover a miniature replica of the Cotswold-stone village at The Model Village, or enjoy a scrumptious picnic surrounded by wildlife at Birdland Park & Gardens.

Take a walk around the market square in Stow-on-the-Wold, where you will find the town stock at one end which dates back to the 15th Century and is shaded by an old Elm Tree and at the opposite end, you will find the ancient Market Cross, originally erected as a symbolic reminder to traders of the times to deal honestly and fairly. Take a stroll over to St Edward’s Parish Church where you will find the enchanting looking tree surrounded doorway; it is here you will find a memorial of those who fought in the last Civil War.

If you want to enjoy the scenic spots that The Cotswolds have to offer, why not arrange a tour with Cotswold Walks & Hikes & Bikes.

A charming Cotswold Village in Gloucestershire, Broadwell is a delightful retreat home to picturesque stone houses. Only 1.25 miles from Coleford, where you will find a post office and shops. 1.5 miles away from the ancient market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, everything you need during your stay is within easy reach including supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants. Superb walks along the River Evenlode are close by, and there are cycling routes and bridleways throughout the aonb. A short drive will take you to popular Cotswold destinations including Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Shakespeare’s birthplace Stratford-Upon-Avon and Moreton-in-Marsh.
