Greyhound Barn is a spacious property with ensuite facilities in every bedroom, a large kitchen, and an expansive sitting room with entertainment options. It's well-suited for large groups and family gatherings, offering ample space and a welcoming atmosphere. The location in a picturesque Cotswold village is appreciated, as are the thoughtful touches like welcome packs. While some guests noted areas for improvement, the overall experience is positive, with many looking forward to future stays.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally meets cleanliness expectations, but some guests have reported issues such as cobwebs, a used face mask, and a used towel. These instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, suggesting occasional oversights rather than a systemic problem.

The property's location is highly praised, situated in a charming Cotswold village with proximity to local attractions and amenities. The scenic setting and ease of access to nearby towns like Cirencester add to its appeal.

Comfort is generally well-regarded, with the property providing ample space and privacy due to ensuite facilities in each room. However, some guests have mentioned issues with uncomfortable beds and a lack of effective temperature control in some rooms.

Facilities are adequate for large groups, with a well-equipped kitchen and entertainment options. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as problematic showers, unreliable internet, and worn furniture, indicating a need for updates and repairs.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtfulness of the welcome packs, which include items like homemade cakes and festive decorations during holiday seasons. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it should be noted that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed with every stay.

    We loved the games room.

The kitchen was well stocked and the living and dining areas were ideal. We were impressed with the welcome treats. Some of the bathrooms had minor problems with leaking showers but we all had a great weekend.

The main concern was the showers. Clear instructions were given that they may take a while to heat however some rooms had problems - Pheasant was too hot to get in, Hare was extremely hot and the extractor fan did not work resulting in a lot of stream, Owl the shower tray filled very quickly and leaked onto the floor, Otter and Squirrel also extremely hot showers resulting in a lot of steam. The result of all the steam on Sunday morning was that the fire alarm went off. The owner was quick to come round and said that it was probably due to the steam. A couple of other hiccups the light in Fox shower was a bit unreliable would not always turn on, only one plug socket seemed to work. The downstairs living room fire door handle not very secure it came off a couple of times. The details given re what to bring said there will be basic cleaning supplies and we would need to bring our own. There were a few cloths but no washing up liquid or cleaner for our use on arrival The starter pack of dishwasher tablets consisted of 1 tablet. Maybe it would be better to say no cleaning materials.
