Ideally situated on the historic High Street of Chipping Campden, Sherborne House is a Grade II listed Georgian character terraced house, dating from the 17th century and enjoys a fine aspect opposite Greville House, the oldest house in Chipping Campden. Easily accessible from London with a two hour drive or a ninety minute train journey from Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh, you could escape to the countryside and witness the marvels of the nearby Bourton-on-the-Water or take a stroll around Stow-on-the-Wold, to name just a few.

This beautiful property provides generous accommodation for four guests; with two receptions rooms, a large kitchen and both bedrooms benefiting from their own bath or shower room. The spacious sitting room has plenty of comfy seating, a dining area at one end and features two lovely stone bay windows to the front. Upstairs, a second reception room is ideal for use as either a study or reading room, or just an alternative space to catch up on some television and watch the world go by beneath from the window seat. Bedroom one is also on this level and enjoys the same aspect from another bay window, along with a stylish shower room with a large, walk-in shower. The second floor is home to bedroom two, a slightly smaller bedroom nestled in the eaves with a double bed and use of the modern bathroom.

Outside, a pretty courtyard with garden furniture is a lovely spot to enjoy the sunshine. A few steps up leads you to the parking area (a rare commodity in Chipping Campden). Wander around the corner and you have the stretch of historic Chipping Campden High Street at your disposal, with its honey stone buildings, historic Market Hall, pretty tea shops, pubs, restaurants and independent shops.

We arrived on Friday night to a lovely cottage on the High Street with ample parking for a large car. The cottage was a delight to explore and beautifully decorated. We were delighted to find a lovely welcome pack waiting for us in the kitchen, our daughter especially liked the double chocolate biscuits. The kitchen was very well equipped and we really liked the way the kitchen was designed. The sitting/dining room was very comfortable and the large television had access to Netflix and iPlayer. The bedrooms were lovely each with their own modern bathroom, very comfortable beds, with cotton duvet covers and lovely pillows. The cottage was lovely and warm and the cottage was very cosy. We had a lovely time in Chipping Campden staying at Sherborne House. Everything was within walking distance and we enjoyed some lovely meals out.

This was our first stay at Sherborne House and it was such a good find! We love the property and felt it was so well equipped, it felt like home. We spent the week walking around the local area and ate dinner at The Ebrington Arms, which was amazing. We also walked around Broadway Tower which was lovely. We also ate at The Cotswolds House Hotel and Spa in Chipping Campden and The Lygon Arms in Broadway - both of which were superb and we highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful week.

Sherborne House is situated in the heart of Chipping Camden, although on the High Street, we were not disturbed by traffic. We had a private parking space in the courtyard behind the property which was a bonus. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and everything you could wish for was provided. There was a welcome Hamper waiting for us, Eggs, Butter, Cheese, Bread, Milk and some additional treats. We felt very safe staying here as COVID-19 guidelines add been adhered to. Chipping Camden is a beautiful place to base yourself if you want to explore the Cotswolds. We met some very friendly people in the village when exploring ourselves. Would recommend to anyone looking for a perfect break.
