Traditional meets modern at this elegantly presented, terraced stone cottage next to the road through pretty Little Petherick, a quiet hamlet just outside of Padstow. Refurbished to exacting standards, 2 Rock Cottage is full of charm and character, cheerfully decorated to get you in the holiday mood. Its elevated position above the road allows 180-degree views of the surrounding countryside, best enjoyed from the sun room to the front of the property. On the ground floor is a lovely sitting room with ornate fireplace, tasteful soft furnishings and lots of pretty knick-knacks to make you feel right at home, as well as an immaculate kitchen/diner complete with everything you could possibly need. Upstairs there are three bedrooms offering flexible accommodation for families of 4 - all finished with a delightfully nautical theme: two with DVD players and one with a Smart TV. The glossy family bathroom is accessed via the third bedroom. Designed with families in mind, the cottage also has lots of little extras to make your stay that bit more comfortable (and lighten your luggage a little); children's books and games, a selection of DVDs, a cot toddler bed guard and a booster seat are all provided for your stay. 2 Rock Cottage offers its guests a lawned garden to the front. Within a mile of the cottage are a few eating choices – the local Old Mill Bistro in the hamlet, 17th century inn, The Ring O'Bells or Padstow’s recent addition of Trevisker’s Kitchen. This part of the world is also known for its coastline, and the seven wonderful, golden beaches of Padstow are all within a short drive. Padstow itself is just a couple of miles away, with its excellent (and celebrity) eateries, harbour side shops and the traffic-free Camel Cycle Trail along the picturesque estuary into Wadebridge.

Padstow is situated at the head of the Camel Cycle Trail and is a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coastal Path which opens up routes to beautiful Cornish countryside. This delightful fishing port is surrounded by sandy beaches and offers many opportunities to taste the locally sourced produce in celebrity owned establishments. Padstow has something for everyone with watersports, walking, cycling and fishing, you can even take a trip on a local fisherman’s boat! The excellent surfing beaches of Harlyn and Constantine are ideal for safe family fun, and Constantine Bay is also home to a golf course, just a few miles away, while a passenger ferry across the river from Padstow to Rock takes you to the beach at Daymer Bay. Just around the corner toward Pentire Head is the surfing paradise at Polzeath, and when the beach no longer calls, there’s a golf course nearby, several stately homes and gardens to visit. The fabulous Eden Project is just over twenty miles away.
