Snaptrip says

Guests generally appreciate the tranquil setting and wildlife at the lakeside lodge, with many praising the stunning views, peaceful environment, and friendly staff. The hot tub and restaurant are frequently mentioned highlights. While some guests have raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance, these seem to be isolated incidents, with others finding their stay clean and comfortable.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with several guests noting issues with dirty dishes, grubby paintwork, and a lack of basic cleaning supplies. However, others have described their lodges as clean and tidy, suggesting variability in experiences.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with guests loving the lakeside views and the abundance of wildlife. The secluded setting offers a peaceful retreat, though it requires driving for any local amenities.

Comfort receives mixed feedback. Some guests find the beds very comfortable and the lodges well-decorated, while others report uncomfortable furniture and beds, and issues with light affecting sleep quality.

Facilities are generally good, with mentions of well-equipped kitchens and the bonus of hot tubs. However, there are several reports of maintenance issues such as broken appliances and outdoor furniture needing updates, which affects the score.

There are mentions of welcome packages and mini toiletries which guests appreciated, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not consistently referenced across reviews, it is not possible to guarantee their provision, and thus the score is set to null.

It had a lovely view over the lake and spacious living/dining area. The shower was great really powerful and the hot tub was in working order and easy to get into/out of. It is great for dogs too as it has a closed terrace, and there are some lovely walks around the area. I did ask for some advice on woodland walks in the reception and was recommended to go to Cardinham Woods just a 15/20 minute car drive away. We had a great walk with the dogs and some amazing wood land views. There are several walks you can do there, we did a 4.3km walk and it was moderate incline, but there are longer and shorter walks varying from easy to hard. So something to suit everyone and there is a café where you can get refreshments after your walk. Please do bare in mind that you have to pay for parking. We also visiting Polperro, Looe and Lantic Bay & Beach all within easy reach (by car). You will need a car to get around this area though. We had dinner onsite at the restaurant on our final evening and took the dogs with us which was no problem. The restaurant was so lovely furnished and cosy and the food was great as was the service. I would highly recommend this area for couples (with/without dogs) and families as long as you have a car and are happy to drive around and see the countryside and small villages. There is plenty to do and it is a stunning area. The only thing I could have asked for is better weather as it rained almost all the time when we were there, but it didn't stop us going out and about. Just bring waterproofs as lots of mud around.

It had everything we could have wished for and no expense was spared with the cleanliness and what the chalet offered! We literally had everything we needed in there. The log burner was really nice! The hot tub was very clean and maintained also! The site is really nice with a nice pub/restaurant on site, and it is extremely nice to walk around. We Honeslty couldn’t have asked for anything better for the price and we are already looking at re-booking! Thank you!

Both myself, my partner and our dogs didn’t want to leave! If I was being extremely picky, the bin could do with replacing and the mattress was a little springy however this was very insignificant compared to what a lovely stay we had here, have already recommended to many friends!!
