Discover the Great Flat Lode and see the remnants of the Cornish mining industry or walk the challenging coast path from Portreath to St Agnes stopping to marvel at the ocean views along the route. Within 10 miles are the wonderful sandy beaches at Perranporth to the north or Gwithian to the west with wide open spaces and great surfing waters. Just a little further afield is the cathedral city of Truro (13.4 miles) for some retail therapy or the maritime town of Falmouth (14.3 miles), one of the South West s leading cultural and festival destinations. Escape to the picturesque countryside and discover the irresistible charm of a shepherd's hut.
