The small and enclosed courtyard garden at the rear benefits from the afternoon sun and is a sheltered and well-screened spot for sunbathers or an evening barbecue. Within moments you will discover numerous first-class restaurants (including Rick Stein's Seafood Bar) along with coffee shops, old inns, galleries, shops and the National Maritime Museum in an area fast becoming the restaurant quarter of Falmouth. The soft sandy blue flag beach at Gyllyngvase and the beach at Swanpool are both within a 10-15 minute walk whilst a short drive away is the beautiful beach at Maenporth. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
