Rivendell is a very pleasant and comfortable cottage for six with a lovely patio looking directly at the stream running gently past. Nicely presented, this cottage is furnished to a very good standard and includes a spacious open plan living space with French windows opening onto the patio and communal gardens. There are three bedrooms; two doubles (including one en-suite), and a twin, a family bathroom and guest WC. There is a parking space and visitor parking nearby. Onsite facilities include tennis courts, children’s outdoor play areas and an indoor plunge pool (seasonal opening hours). The nearby beaches of Swanpool and Maenporth are ideal for family beach days. Take your pick of a variety of watersports on offer at Swanpool, where tuition is also available. The popular resort and harbour town of Falmouth is a 10 minute drive where you will find a wealth of great eateries to suit all tastes. Visit the National Maritime Museum or step back in time at Pendennis Castle, one of England’s finest surviving fortresses. The exotic gardens at Trebah provide a wonderful day out for all ages, with easy to navigate trails through the spectacular fauna and flora that lead to a pretty beach at the base, a perfect spot for a family picnic. For an action-packed holiday or a relaxing convenient base, Rivendell is ideally placed for a perfect family holiday.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
