We left the cottage clean and tidy. A very big thank you to the owners of Lyle boy cottage. Would stay again.

The bungalow and area exceeded our expectations in every respect. We knew Paul and Vera would be lovely hosts, ...and they were particularly understanding with our children who loved the friendly sheep dogs. The beds were all very comfortable and the house is warm, spacious, quiet and easy to keep clean. It's a great house if you have limited mobility. There are small waterfalls on the Cottoners river just 50m from the house and you can hear them constantly outside the back door. I adore the sound of a running river. The hydro track that leads to Lough Echter (300m climb) and then on to Caher and Carrauntoohil peaks (900m climb) is only 600 metres away with a spacious car park. If you have the time/energy/weather/courage to complete the horseshoe walk, you will enjoy one of the finest hikes in the whole of Ireland! And it's all right on your doorstep. We loved visiting Kate Kearney's Cottage pub with live Irish music, 7-9pm. There's the nearby Gap of Dunloe or going west there's the Ballaghbeama Gap or Ballaghasheen Pass and on to Waterville. All with stunning views and walks. We didn't find this house in any way remote...it's only 10 minutes back into Killorglin with Aldi and all the shops you need for your holiday. Killarney is only 25 mins away and the Torc waterfall nearby was stunning and only a 10 minute return walk from the car park. In summary this bungalow is a real gem, Paul and Vera have hearts of gold and as owners of our own holiday homes, we give this house, it's facilities, value and location our highest recommendation. We certainly hope to return next year!

The accommodation was perfect for our requirements and very comfortable. Vera, our host was very helpful and accommodating. I suppose the main question is, will I return in the future? The answer is a resounding, yes.
