Staying at The Carriage House, you can take day trips out and about to explore the whole of Northumberland’s many famous local attractions; the beaches, Alnwick and Bamburgh castles, The Alnwick Gardens, the wide open spaces of the stunning surrounding countryside, Cragside House, the National Park and Dark Skies and a variety of friendly seaside villages and come back to a lovely, welcoming cottage. Relax in the superb hot tub, take a walk around the owners' attractive garden, snooze in the hammock and eat dinner outside in the lovely, enclosed courtyard.

The Carriage house is set next to the owners' house. It has 2 bedrooms; a king-size and a twin, both with full en-suite bathrooms and would suit a family, a couple or a group of friends.

There is a large playing field, children’s park and tennis court in the village just a five minute walk from the cottage. Ulgham village is surrounded by quiet country lanes, ideal for walking and cycling. There is a river nearby with pleasant walks along the banks. In nearby Widdrington Station - on the way to Druridge bay, there is a pub, a Co-Op shop and a good fish and chip shop, plus a pub restaurant about 5 minutes further away. At Cresswell, The Drift Cafe overlooking the dunes serves great food and you also can buy excellent ice cream at the 5 star rated ice cream shop right on the beach front!
