Within 5 miles you can walk through the grand Penrose Estate to Loe Pool, a huge freshwater lake, then join the coastal path to Porthleven, with its beach, harbour and selection of high-quality restaurants, or to Gunwalloe, where there are two beaches, sand dunes and a medieval church. Helston is also the gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, with its array of wonderful beaches, and just 13.5 miles from the chic harbour town of Falmouth.
