What our customers say about their holidays

A lovely place to stay, with plenty to do.

Having the private beach was a real bonus as no need to get in the car if planning a day at the beach. Our grandson enjoyed the play area and had lots of fun together with children from the other cottages. The cottage was as described, and yes small but adequate for us and our grandson. We struggled to sleep well due to the small double bed which I had read about in previous reviews but chose to ignore hoping this issue may have been addressed. The cottage is nicely decorated and fairly well equipped, the towels were lovely and soft and although small , the bed was comfy. Our dog was also well catered for, treats, poo bags and even a towel. The animals were very friendly ,well cared for and enjoyed being fed on a regular basis (food available from the shared utility room). We didn’t have a problem with the wi-fi or mobile signal as was previously mentioned in reviews. Staff very friendly and seldom seen so not intrusive in any way. The location is excellent, plenty of walking directly from the farm and a very short drive to Ilfracombe for supplies or day out etc. Also walking distance to local attractions and eateries. All in all a fabulous place to stay and highly recommend.

We took our 3 dogs and 5 children we had an amazing time the family are lovely and the area is so quiet and stunning. The phone service is pretty much nonexistent was a massive plus for us and the internet isn’t great but we wanted a holiday that was away from the outside world so was perfect. Only tip I would give is that minehead is the only place that has a big supermarket and it’s a 35 minute drive so is handy to stock up. Local little shop is 20 min drive. The cottage is beautiful and really clean and well maintained with all Facilities you need. There is some booklets with everything you need to know and one with local walks. There was even tea coffee sugar and a little jug of milk ready on arrive. Would highly recommend. We can not wait to book back up.

This is a lovely cottage and we had a wonderful week!

We had everything we needed here and it felt like home, but with a thatched roof. It's nicely furnished and the double bed was comfy. We even spent time in the pretty garden opposite the cottage, reading and having refreshments after going on our many walks in the area and note, there are lots of options. As advertised, there is a parking space, but be warned it is a challenge in a larger car as the entrance is snug. We reversed in, it was easier. There is a bed and accessories for a dog, so they're very welcome in the cottage. Please note that there is no wardrobe in the double bedroom, but there is a recess in the bathroom for hanging up clothes and that was fine. We recommend The Grove Inn which is only a two minute walk away. The hosts are very friendly, they've good local ales on tap and the food was terrific. It's a very popular pub, so make sure that you book a table! All-in-all, it's a cosy place to stay and we would love to revisit. Hopefully, we may even get to see a wild otter or Kingfisher next time!?!

It was immaculate when we arrived, is really cosy and warm with spacious bedrooms, and is very well-equipped. The hosts were friendly and helpful, but very discreet and the house was our own for the week. Knowing our little boy was keen on cows, they even moved the Angus cattle into the field next door for a few days especially! The location is fabulous - conveniently located next to the A39 but situated far enough from the road such that you can't hear or see it at all. Amazing walks locally on Exmoor and the coast. The whole booking experience was great with "The Best of Exmoor" too. Thank you all!

Previous reviews for this holiday cottage were excellent, and we weren't disappointed. We too found it very clean, comfortable, well equipped and thoughfully finished. The hosts were very accommodating, and it was lovely to be able to share their beautiful farm for a few days. We chose this cottage in part as we have a baby and a toddler, and we would recommend to others with young children - the cottage was well set up, the immediate outside space was secure and our little boy loved roaming the farm and seeing all the animals. Very pleased all round!
