      Seaglass cottage is perfectly located to explore Hythe and the surrounding areas. The seafront is a 2 minute walk away, and you can see the sea from the main bedroom. We had no difficulties parking either directly outside or near the cottage each day. Hythe high street is a short stroll away, with plenty of independent shops to explore, along with great pubs and cafes. Take a walk up to the church, the view from there is amazing. The cottage was very clean, with a really well equipped kitchen. The beds were super comfy unlike many holiday homes we’ve stayed in. It really did feel like a home from home. We’d have no hesitation in recommending this cottage and will definitely book again as it was excellent.

      An exceptional property decorated to a very high standard. We had a very comfortable stay in this delightful house and were greeted with a thoughtful and well received welcome pack of milk, goodies and a bottle of wine. The owners were very welcoming but allowed us plenty of space. The property itself is in a quiet village with very little traffic noise but plenty of birdsong. It is ideally located with Rye and the coast beyond 20-30 minutes away. You have the choice of two pubs nearby, Ferry Inn and The Black Lion at Appledore. All in all one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. Thank you for a wonderful short break.

      What a gem.

      We were looking for a base for a week in Kent and The View was perfect. Easy to find and with good transport links deeper into the county this was ideal for our needs. The setting is great with far reaching views over fields. The property was clean and well maintained with everything we needed for our stay. All the furniture is comfortable and the bed gave us the best sleep we've ever experienced in a holiday cottage. The owners are very friendly but don't intrude unless approached and when we raised one (very minor) issue it was resolved immediately. We'd definitely like to return and spend more time at The View.

      We were the first guests to stay at Appleyard - Paul & Marion made us feel very welcome and the hamper of local produce was a lovely touch. The cottage is very well equipped with a really lovely private garden, comfy bed and great space to chill out in. The cottage is also very well located for walking into the village of Chilham with it's lovely scenery and good pubs. Chilham station is also close by so you can be in Canterbury in 10 mins. The cottage is also well located for accessing walks along the North Downs Way as well as circular walks in the local area. Thank you for a lovely few days at Appleyard

      For us a great location, quiet and relaxing with no road noise. Lovely friendly owners. Although bijou, the cottage is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything needed for a good holiday. The mattress is firm but comfortable. A must to have a secure garden for the pup, and this was. We didn't get the chance to explore the owners grounds but they added to the views from the sitting room. Judging by the comments left in the on-site visitor book this cottage gets many repeat bookings and I can see why. We would definitely stay here again when we holiday in Kent again, if it is available.

    Stoneacre is a Grade II* listed National Trust property in Otham, near Maidstone. Arts and Crafts scholar Aymer Vallance saved this mediaeval yeoman's house from destruction in 1920, and restored it into the charming house that it is today. Toilets and picnic benches.
