    Lowestoft Holiday Cottages

The seaside town of Lowestoft is home to the UK’s most easterly point: Ness Point. Historically a thriving fishing port producing 400 million herring every season, today it’s more of a seaside holiday destination than an industrial hub. Lowestoft holiday cottages are a favourite with families looking for a break by the sea that doesn’t break the bank.

There’s loads to see and do in Lowestoft, and you’ll find a theme park, busy theatre, several museums, two piers and a wildlife park all in close proximity. As if that wasn’t enough, it’s worth starting at least one of your days extra early to watch the sunrise, as Lowestoft is the first place in the UK to see it. The town has rich musical roots as the birthplace of English composer, conductor and pianist Benjamin Britten. Today, Lowestoft’s current musical export is the rock band The Darkness, who even mention the town’s high school in one of their songs. Lowestoft is a popular seaside resort but not as bustling or commercialised as nearby Great Yarmouth, so offers a nice balance between beach and busyness.

Holiday cottages in Lowestoft can’t be booked cheaper than through Snaptrip, as all bookings are protected with our best price guarantee. There are thousands of holiday homes on the site and all searches can be filtered by property feature. Need some help? Our customer service team is available to help.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Sharon - Verified booking

Annie and Toby are thoughtful and responsive to any questions.

The holiday home is nicely decorated and feels like staying with friends. Fully equipped kitchen, very quick to respond when I needed help to work the hob. Everything you need has already been provided. The only extra items we used were pizza trays and pizza cutter for pizza night, and a clothes airer. The Coast hotel was very friendly and welcoming, Saturday evening entertainment was good and busy with local people. My kids enjoyed the arcades and swimming pool facilities. Any information needed is provided in the folder available for guests. We bought a few garden items from a garden sale next to the resort across the road from the decorated post box and telephone box. The weather was very kind to us and we visited several local attractions including, Great Yarmouth, Gorleston on Sea and Lowestoft, we had fun at Pleasurewood Hills themepark and the splash park at Gorleston where you can see some Banksy artwork, nice food at The Cliff hotel. We visited Ness Point and had nice food at the Lighthouse Diner. We also had a relaxing boat trip on the Broads and a nice meal at The Wherry hotel. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful. When there was an issue with the fence it was repaired within hours. My husband and son enjoyed playing football at the park where they joined in training with some locals. There is also a car boot sale on the field on a Tuesday. We visited East Coast Cinemas when the weather dulled. The broadband works well, although we were unable to work the cd player or bedroom tvs (remote batteries) although this did not affect our stay at all. The beds and sofas are comfortable. Towels, tea towels and oven gloves are all available and the ninja airfryer was fab. We enjoyed a lovely 2 weeks holiday. Tesco delivered groceries on the day we arrived so only needed to shop for a few bits.

Firstly, apologies for delay in sending the feedback.

We decided to book a week away to celebrate my husband's 40th and to have a mini break before the arrival of our second child. And I'm so pleased we did! My son loved the accommodation (he's 3 and very difficult to please!) saying it was better than his own house! And we agree, the property felt like a second home as soon as we walked in. It was clean, tidy, spacious and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The welcome basket was an added bonus and went down a treat. Thank you. The weather wasn't great, even though it was July. But that didn't dampen our enjoyment. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and visiting the local beaches and other places of interest. Overall, we could not fault it. It was a nice break in a cosy property. And seeing my son so happy before returning to the usual chaos at home, was wonderful. He also slept really well, which was the icing on the cake. A fantastic few days and we would definitely, 100%, return in the future.

I must agree with everyone’s review it is a lovely cottage love the decor and it’s comfortable .

Bus stops just up the road don’t really need a car , the is within a 5 min walk found an art gallery which was amazing . The Jolly sailor is great for dining out with sea views . So all in all a great place to stay to explore the area. One thing cut our stay short 3rd day in we found dog fleas up in the bedroom with an odour of dog until then we had all windows open day and night so never noticed the odour . We decided to leave the next morning I contacted the owner who said they would sort this out but I knew this could not be sorted in within an hour or so .They did apologise but as we had already left couldn’t do anything for us . Sykes said the same thing . We have been renting properties with Sykes for many years now this was the first time this has happened to us . Sykes never got back to us regarding this matter :(

Lovely location and the owner has provided everything you need to make this a home from home break.

Welcome message with all key code information the morning of arrival day. Pint of milk in fridge for a cuppa on arrival. Slight issue with some cleaning (oven and microwave) this was remedied quickly with a message to owners and a return by cleaners at our convenience. There is currently no onsite access to beach due to recent storm damage (5th May 22) Alternative path appx 25 minutes walk via Azure seas holiday park. Maintenance man arrived one morning to paint balcony overhang this had not been communicated to us and changed our plans that morning. Great Chinese takeaway at entrance to park and a down to earth friendly village pub with huge outside seating area. Village shop is at back of pub. This is a lovely part of the country and I look forward to a return visit and be happy to book any of Gary’s properties again.

      Lovely light seaside cottage.

Cosy and comfy. Perfect for a little doggie too. The welcome gifts of wine, milk, crisps, cookies and bottled water was a very thoughtful touch. Quiet and peaceful location. Just a short stroll from the lovely Pakefield beach. The cordoned off steep-stepped private area of the cottage was at first intriguing to my doggie but first step up I said no and he didn't bother with it any more. I would say that if anyone is travelling alone, and likes to check out all of the house for peace of mind, no bogie man lurking etc , then this may not be for you with the cordoned off, but not locked away, upper floor. This wasn't a problem for me but could be for others. A lovely Sunday to Wednesday stay in early May! Thank you.
