A quirky cottage in beautiful grounds with a fast flowing river running alongside.
The cottage which appears to be constructed of plywood with cement facia is now beginning to see its age. The kitchen is in real need of an upgrade mainly work top and cupboards. The sink tap often falls apart and water power runs dry. The main bathroom with shower is also in need of a revision and clean up and has a Faust smell to it. The main living room is ok spacious with wooden flooring and dining for 4 but the TV IS in real need of replacement and poor quality especially on those often raining days common to Snowdonia. In the corner of the main room is an entrance with dicy slopping steps to two double bedrooms. Yes they are small with left one much too small and really only suitable for kids. It has also a boxed in shower toilet unit which is only suitable for children unless your a size 10 adult. By way we found the shower in need of repair as it leaked onto the floor which we had to soak up after each use. Leading directly out of the main room you enter a small conservatory with small steps and shin into the back garden with chairs and tables. In good weather you can sit in comfort and eat and wine away the time in pleasant surroundings. The charge for the cottage does not match the quality provided to be honest coupled with many faults and poor quality furnishings. The number of steps in the cottage can be a bit dicy if your uncertain or elderly on your feet so can be annoying. Itâs a nice location with on site parking and if good weather and your out and about eating and walking itâs ok.

We had a very happy family holiday with our extended family of 3 generations. Absolutely stunning location and views, very well-placed for spectacular local walks. The garden was completely secure for our dogs (2x large and 1x medium), which was great and meant we could relax when the dogs were outside. (although dog owners please note: if you have a dog that can and will jump 3 foot fences this may not be the case. There are sheep in the field beyond). The cottage is extremely well-stocked with books and maps on the local area, history, local walks and mountain climbing guides etc. We wished we could have stayed several more weeks to explore some more! Thank you for a lovely holiday.

A disappointing stay unfortunately as there was mould in the bedrooms and bathrooms. We had an ant infestation both inside and outside the property. The dishwasher did not work and leaked over the entire utility /kitchen floor. We did receive a nice welcome pack of welsh biscuits and tea / coffee which was a lovely touch. The bathrooms also had soaps, shampoo and shower gel available. Its a shame because with just a few touch ups this could be a very nice property. The location is beautiful and cannot be faulted. We enjoyed our stay simply for that reason alone. The weather was on our side so we were able to go on walks and use the garden daily.

We loved the quirky cottage which, nevertheless, had everything we needed.
The garden was like a mini National Trust property with mature trees, lovely shrubs and a fast flowing river running at the bottom. We saw rabbits, a hedgehog and lots of birds. The dog was in her element. It was well placed for walking into the village, scenic local walks and the Welsh Highland Railway. There were only two of us although the cottage sleeps four and had that been the case, we might have needed more plates and bowls for breakfast. My only other reservation would be that if you were holidaying with small children, you would need to keep a watchful eye on them in the garden. We didn't and it was fabulous.

The views from the property were stunning and we enjoyed a multi generational holiday incorporating both a 40th and a 4th birthday. The house was warm, comfortable and well equipped. We loved the stove and being able to slow cook dishes while out all day. We enjoyed walks from the house and visiting local towns. We had a glorious day on the beach at Tywyn and took the scenic train journey from Tywyn to Porthmadog. This is a perfect property for a large group who want a quiet countryside location. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful and the welcome pack a nice touch. We would certainly return.
