What our customers say about their holidays

    • Vicky - Verified booking

The booking was easy and the staff were very helpful online.

The Holiday property was spacious, very clean and tidy. It had all the mod cons and was stylish. It also had a lovely log burner. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were really comfy. The bedding was very fresh. There was plenty of room to put your belongings away. We were given robes and slippers. We had a food parcel to start us off, which was a really nice touch. The hot tub area was private, was checked daily and was very clean. The separate barbecue area was spacious, had plush seating and a place to put your disposable barbecue. The area was clean, maintained and the staff were really friendly. All in all this was the best holiday property we’ve ever stayed in. We will defo be using Sykes Cottages again and would defo stay at this venue again. Thank you.

A wonderful stay in your lodge although the weather could’ve been a bit brighter but that’s not down to you!

We managed to get out everyday and explore beautiful Dorset…well a little bit anyway given we were there for only five days! The lodge provided everything a 5* hotel would have down to slippers and bathrobe. Loved the rustic wood decor with modern appliances. Very clean everywhere and the bed was very comfortable with a sumptuous duvet. Loved the breakfast starter pack which was gratefully used. Unfortunately, although we packed swimwear to laze in the hot tub, the wet weather was the wrong kind of water to do so!!! Would definitely stay again in the future. Well done and thank you for a ‘restful’ autumn break.

Beech was well equipped, clean and cosy.

The hot tub was showing signs of age. Some of the head rests were missing and the jets didn't work on Jet 1and some seemed to be missing on Jet 2. However, it was clean, warm and appreciated. The site generally is a bit shabby although the staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciate that the property owner might not be able to influence this.

      Very comfortable property.

Quiet peaceful and private surroundings with close access to walking country. Lighting could be improved ,a bit dingy and one of the outer doors needs attention. Very difficult to close. A broom would also have been useful ! Excellent WiFi connection. But all in all a very cosy, warm cabin.

We stayed as a couple good location for getting around dorset the hot tub was a nice touch for the end of day.

Overall the lodge was nice but we felt it could do with a little tlc inside and out. Also thought it would have been nice to have a light outside by the hot tub and seating area for autumn nights. Otherwise the lodge is well equipped for anyone to stay
