What our customers say about their holidays

    • Jacqueline - Verified booking

Myself and my husband went for a short break.

The accommodation had everything you need for this. Lots of cooking equipment but no instructions how to use any of it ( we did not use anyway). We took teatowels, soap, shampoo, etc but, this is all provided, even though not listed on itinerary. The description of the accommodation was accurate but nothing to say about steep climb up from road if you are walking. The area itself is beautiful, green an lush, went on some lovely walks but again, a lot of ascending inclines. The farm has a menagerie of animals who all come to say hello, particularly Sylvie the cat and mabel, a new foundland, both indulging in having a fuss. Ceri is lovely, willing to help with anything and full of information about the area. We purchased pork pies from her which were amazing- we bought some home too, along with some goat burgers. Could do with a list of produce and prices left in accommodation as they do not have an actual shop. Tha accommodation is quite compact but enough for 2 people. The shower room/ toilet is right next to bed and you cannot open door properly to get into it. We reported the outside lights not working which Ceri came to look at same morning. The hot tub we only managed to use once because of weather, it was great to ease weary bones but, could do with shelter overhead to enable more use. We had not tried this kind of holiday before but would definitely recommend, would like stay in a cottage next time though. Overall, had a lovely few days in beautiful area.

This Property was brilliant! They had everything you could want there so no need to pack anything but clothes and some food. Was super dog-friendly. Being set on a large field made it perfect for my dog to walk around whilst we are at the cabin. The hosts made sure the place was spotless for us and they included booklets with local shops, restaurants, etc, and all things you can do in the area. They had a large bowl and a small one for your dog with a stand. There was plenty of room inside. The bed was super comfy! And they supplied plenty of BBQ and log burner supplies to keep you going for a good week . We have already booked our next stay with them next month ! Very very happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone

We had a really lovely stay in the Mallard. It was clean and fully furnished. Hot tub was lovely, but not the wood fired one advertised, it was a lovely, easy to use modern one. Pet friendly with water and food bowl provided. Beautiful at night time, able to hear the neighbouring sheep, but not too loud! We have a very anxious dog and the hut is a nice distance from other huts and sheep that he was fine! We had such a lovely stay and would definitely come again

Take a look at the 'Visit Wales' website for more information - it features the Pen y Fan walk among others.
