This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Castleside. It is a beautiful property in a beautiful village and I don't see how it can be bettered. It is in a quiet position, tucked away behind the main street, which makes it easy to pop out to shop or to eat at one of the cafes or pubs. There is excellent secure parking with two parking spaces for the house. Its starring feature, of course, is the spectacular view of the castle from the upstairs sitting-room. It was wonderful to watch the sun go down on it at night when the old stones really glowed and to lie in the upstairs bedroom and admire the floodlit keep. The cleaners should be thanked for the excellent care they have taken of this holiday home. A thank you to all involved for making this experience such a good one.

What a superb place to stay.

Incredibly comfortable holiday gone, equipped to the highest standard with plenty of crockery, glasses, cooking utensils, pots and pans to cover every eventuality. We really appreciated a starter hamper of bread, eggs, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and wine too - very thoughtful and a lovely welcome. So many extras that we were not expecting, including bird food to top up the feeders - all above and beyond, which made our holiday really special. Location absolutely stunning; very convenient for Bamburgh and it’s beautiful castle and beaches, as well as close to Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands and Alnwick for lovely shops and facilities, and Lindisfarne nearby too. Thank you

What an amazing place to stay.

The lodge is very well equipped, they've thought of everything to make this a wonderful home from home. The welcome pack was much appreciated and has everything you need for nibbles on the evening and breakfast the next day.The surroundings are lovely too and I would highly recommend a walk up to the viewpoint on a clear night, so many stars. Easy to walk in to Bamburgh for an exploration and lovely places to eat and a short drive to Holy Island. We highly recommend this lodge and would love to stay here again.

Being in the heart of Bamburgh was great but unfortunately having previously been part of the Lord Crewe Hotel the accommodation was attached to the hotel and very near the kitchen area which meant the kitchen fans were quite audible in the upstairs bedroom from around 07:30am until late evening. The noise was constant and not desirable. There was also outside lighting at the back of the hotel which was illuminated all night and quite bright. If these could be addressed we would recommend the property.

This is the second time we've stayed in this wonderful cottage and we loved it just as much as the this time as we did the first. We received a warm welcome. Its super cosy with lovely views of Bamburgh Castle and everything you could need. It's close to the centre of the village and beach - we'd definitely stay again! Worth getting up on a morning for the spectacular sun rises and the sunsets are beautiful too. We had a special holiday - thank you!
