What a magnificent place. My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend here and could not have wished for anything better. The Haybarn is a home created for comfort -- from the large, comfy couch to the well-equipped kitchen to the large screen TV (nicely disguised to blend in with the artwork) to the amazingly comfortable bedrooms and large bathrooms. We visited during a cold and windy weekend and ended up spending more time inside than planned as we had a puncture on our way to dinner so had to turn back, dine in (a good second choice since my husband is a fabulous cook!) and wait for the RAC to arrive the following day. What could have been a challenging situation turned out to be quite lovely: dinner at "home" with a good movie on the telly and a few glasses of wine. And we had our anniversary dinner the following night (at an excellent pub named The Parrot, about 10 minutes away in Forest Green). We both agreed that the Haybarn was one of the loveliest places we've stayed in. There's not a sound to be heard since it's in the countryside on a beautiful farm, and it's warm and cozy enough to make you want to snuggle up and go nowhere. We were also blown away by the very generous supplies left for us by the owners - that far exceeded most of the place we've stayed. It's on our list of places to return to.

Due to the fact that our Internet connection was repeatedly on our way and our route planner was unreliable, we had a lot of trouble finding the house, despite the fact that we had received the coordinates. In addition, we were severely delayed by ferry and file. However, the owner kept us in touch - every time we were able to connect by telephone - very patiently, just as long as we reached the house (one hour late). Despite the raining rain and the late time we were warmly welcomed in a lovely Cottage with every possible comfort, from power adapters to hair dryer and any imaginable type of kitchenware. Milk in the fridge, beautiful bouquets on the table, a lovely wood stove lit directly for us, hiking maps and all kinds of tourist information. A warm welcome to a delicious, green, quiet place! Very disappointed with this stay. I thought that booking with this company I would be guaranteed a lovely stay. This stay was very expensive so I was expecting quality. The showers were dangerously slippery. Mentioned several times in the guest book but nothing done about it. The fire exit was impossible to escape from if a fire did occur. The fire door was locked to escape to the yard. There is no washing machine at this property. The short stroll to the pub is more like a 20min hike & the local shop is even further away. This property needs to be looked at carefully by the owners. If they want to let it to all different people then they need to make the property accessible to all.

Tranquil and lovely, yet easily accessible. The Haybarn is tucked away in a rural spot yet easy to reach from London. It was a welcome rest for a weekend away. The house is very well equipped and comfortable with lovely views across the fields. We went in a cold patch so the wood burner was welcome and made the house super cosy. We really appreciated the generous welcome hamper, a kind gesture. There is lots of walking/ cycling in the local area and we enjoyed a potter into Cranleigh which is very close by. The turn to the barn is hard to spot in the dark so make sure you’ve read the arrival instructions before you get onto the lane! Highly recommended to stay at the Haybarn.
