"We have just returned from a refreshing 5 day break at Ringslade Barn. What an amazing find this accommodation was!Firstly, the location is superb – in a peaceful road set in acres of private grounds, but very close to major road routes around Devon and beyond. So day trips out to Plymoth, Exeter, Dartmoor etc. did not take up much travel time. The accommodation is second to none – everything you could wish for was provided: Loads of kitchen utensils, towels, bedding, games, local information, appliance instructions etc. Very comfortable beds and a lovely warm heating system. My only disappointment was that in the photo I thought the log burner was real but it is in fact electric – far easier to ‘light’ than logs, though (although there is a fire pit available to use outside if you like burning logs!)There is also a great separate games room – with pool table. Table tennis and darts set up. We were so happy in the other parts of the barn we didn’t get round to actually using this! The incredible ‘extra’ for this accommodation is the use of the ‘home cinema’ in a separate part of the building. For the technically minded we are not talking your average Blu-ray 5.1 home cinema ‘all in one’. This is a high quality, high definition Benq overhead projector cinema system projecting onto a bespoke 10 foot screen. To compliment the amazing picture you have the luxury of a dedicated Yamaha 5.1 sound system with a thumping sub-woofer. I could have spent 24/7 watching movies and concerts in that cinema Would highly recommend Ringslade Barn and hope to visit again before too long."

"We stayed in Oak Apple cottage for a week in August 2016 with two children and grandparents. We had great weather which always helps but we all had a fabulous time. The owners were very helpful and very friendly and the on-site shop sells most essentials plus delicious fresh products from the farm. The cottage was much larger than other holiday lets we've stayed at, with its own BBQ and outside table and chairs, and the heated pool (lovely and warm) and kids play park were a huge bonus and were used every day by the kids. There is so much to do within 30 minutes travelling in any direction that we could come back several times and do something new each day. My son loved the fact it was a working farm and he could watch a variety of farm vehicles at work and see chickens roaming close by. However this does mean there can be noisy animals in the night so take ear plugs if you're a light sleeper! If it wasn't for a few nit picking details (like no clothes line/airer to dry swimming stuff on; dirty floors on arrival (discovered by us all having black feet after a few hours in the cottage); permanently warm/heated floors even in warm weather and bathroom door locks that didn't work) then I would have given 10 stars as its a really nice place and suited us well. We would definitely go back here!"

"A pleasant and peaceful location with nice views. The WiFi was reliable which was very important for us as we were in the area for a Geocaching holiday. The bungalow was well prepared for our arrival, clean and warm. We enjoyed the welcome gift. The double bed was very comfortable although the option of a top sheet and blanket or lighter weight duvet would have been appreciated since we found it too hot most nights. We could not find the key to unlock the small window in the double bedroom which would have allowed some cool air into the room. The kitchen functioned well but there are some chipped plates and the cutlery drawer needs sorting as it's a bit of a jumble of items. A small sharp peeling knife was not found although it may be there as it was 5 days before we discovered the bread knife !! The dining area, which we did not use, was well equipped with correct cutlery and china. The garden was well cared for and there was a summer house with outdoor furniture if required. We were pleased that recycling was expected and all the necessary containers were present. We thought that it would be excellent value for 4-6 people but a discount for just 2 people would have been appreciated. However, Dart Corner was a perfect base for our activities and we would certainly recommend it."

"Very conveniently in Newton Abbot, Elm cottage provided a great base to explore south Devon.Supermarkets and high street very close-by as well.House had everything we needed at an adequate level and the dishwasher, washing machine and Wifi were very much appreciated. The kids loved the availability of Netflix.Good space inside the house but very steep stairs and dodgy step on stairs landing took a bit of getting used to. Dubious privacy as well as you can see straight through the glass front door into the living room at night. The house had terrible on-street parking though and we were unable to park outside the cottage the entire week we stayed due to oversubscription of the very limited on street parking available. Had to play musical chairs with the parking in the local area in the evening and early morning every day. We got used to this though once we found a regular routine to it.Special mention must go to the owner of the cottage who was brilliantly accommodating throughout; always quick to respond to anything we needed.Overall the pros outweigh the cons and Elm cottage is well worth looking into."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bardon Lodge. We were greeted on arrival by the owners with useful information about where things were in the house including a very nice welcome pack, which was gratefully received. The house was perfect for our needs with good quality equipment and sensitive decor that made you feel at home. It is placed perfectly for touring around the area, and we went as far as The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and to more local attractions like Castle Drogo, Greenway, Coleton Fishacre and the lovely Dartmouth shops. We explored Dartmoor an area of countryside we’ve not seen before, which was beautiful if a little challenging to drive through on the ever narrowing Devon lanes. With all the attractions we were taken down narrow windy lanes which meant your heart was often pounding in the hope that no one would come the other way, but so worth it when we got to our destinations none of which disappointed us, as was the similar experience along the road that led to lovely Bardon Lodge. We would definitely return and thank you very much for a great holiday."
