The property has been refurbished to a high standard and is very comfortable and in a great central location.
There is a car park nearby that needs to be factored into the costs of staying here at £8.50 per day , although passes could be obtained at a lower cost for longer periods. The cottage is dog tolerant and not dog friendly, it really disappoints that the rules for dog stays are only given after the booking, dogs not allowed on furniture, upstairs , and you have instructions that all dog hair must be removed before departure. This meant we had to hoover before we left to make sure that no traces of the dog existed in the property. No facilities at all for your canine companions, you have to bring everything from beds to bowls. The owners obviously realise the value of customers with pets and want to attract the pet owner market but it all seems a bit grudgingly. There is no enclosed garden as advertised. It is the front of the property which is a paving slab width and not suitable for your pet. Please remove the enclosed garden description in the property description. The another point for consideration is the arrival time of 3pm and an departure by 9.30am. It is a tiny one bedroom property , how on earth does it need a five and half hour turnaround time, meaning a very late arrival and a crack of dawn exit. International guidelines would at least be a 2pm arrival and a 10am departure or later. Also please check your electrics , the lights in the entire property dimmed and turned up on their own constantly. We originally thought it was haunted but soon realised itâs a fault and happened for the duration of our stay. All in all itâs a lovely accommodation for a couple and think you should market it without the pet friendly part as itâs not suitable for pets. That all said you have a lovely property in a great location and is great for a couple for a getaway.

South Way is an absolute dream! We were two families of adults and children aged 7-14. This property has the “WOW” factor when you arrive. The garden is beautiful and much fun for children and adults alike. With the nature around all day long, it’s idyllic. The property is well set out, spacious, decor is lovely (everyday I noticed something different) and I love there is a TV only in one room, where those who want TV can gather. Likewise, there is plenty of space for individual time. It is very well equipped, you’d be hard pressed not to find what you needed in the kitchen. The welcome pack of local goodies was a lovely touch and very nice. Positioning of property is ideal, across the road to train station which takes you to Sheringham, Cromer or further afield to Norwich. West Runton itself has everything you need, pub, shop, tea room etc. Beach (partly with lifeguards) again ideal, rock pools, shallow sea, lovely sand, cafe (reasonably priced) and toilets. About 10/15 min walk. There is absolutely nothing to not be happy with at South Way. Also, the staff at Original Cottages are extremely friendly and helpful if required.

“We had a fabulous long weekend at Bramble Cottage in Sheringham. The cottage is in a fantastic location for all the local attractions and facilities. Shops, pubs, restaurants and the railway are all only a short walk away. There is a lovely park across the road and lots or walking trails, perfect if you have a dog with you. The cottage itself is great, small, but everything you need. The stairs are steep and the steps are narrow. OK to go up, but coming down could be a challenge if you have mobility issues. For this reason, I personally wouldn't recommend the cottage for small children. Also note that the garden is not immediately accessible from the property, you need to walk across the parking space. Therefore, you cannot just open the door and let the dog out or let children play unattended. The cottage is also on a busy main road. I would also note that there can be problems driving out of the allocated parking space as vans parked along the road can restrict the view, so caution is required coming out onto the main road.<br /> However, none of those things were major issues and we had a great time. ”

Rose cottage is in a unique location - it's like being in your own oasis and it is as the pictures. There is great space for spreading out if you have kids of different ages. The locally sourced products in the welcome pack were lovely, especially the wine. As a family of 6 we loved the space, and the garden is special for some things you won't want to go out and about as you have an oasis of calm to enjoy. Our first time visiting the area we would recommend it on location for the Shire horse sanctuary (free entrance), West Runton Beach, Cromer and Sheringham close by if you want more to do. We went to Norwich and Wells too. Lots to do more than enough for a week. Since arriving home we saw the local Rocky Bottoms on the TV programme of Norfolk and Suffolk too - it is close by. We enjoyed the fair that was visiting east runton playing fields. There are supermarkets not far - Morrisons and Lidl and the little local convenience store is worth a visit. If you are considering this area and want somewhere a little different then this is a great choice.
