"Found some in the wardrobe in the GF bedroom and in a storgae box underneath another bed. Could not find any towels so had to improvise and use our own towels we had brought for the beach. There was no cot mattress! we had brought our own cot bed linen but not a mattress so again ahd to improvise. If we had known we could of brought a cot mattress from home. The GF bedroom ensuite, the seat within the shower was not very clean. On inspection the FF front bedroom's ensuite shower cubicle was not clean. Serious Mould covering the grouted areas and the plug hole was blocked with masses of hair, hence it not draining properly - pictures have been taken - and the shower tray was dirty. The FF back bedroom ensuite, the bath plug hole was full of hair and did not drain so we had to clear this out before using the shower/ bath. The FF middle bedroom ensuite, the shower door did not close properly - it had come off its runners - so we had to sort this out. Some of the actual quilts were quite stained and the sofa bed needed hoovering before making in to a bed. The kitchen floor was not very clean and the tiles above the cooker were thick with grease. Some of the plates had not been cleaned properly, looked like they had been stacked up straight after use without being wiped or washed. The house could do with a good clean from top to bottom. Apart from this, the situation of the house and the house itself were spot on. Great location to all amenities and what was provided in the house ie all the utensils, games and decor and outside space were fab."

"I have written to you regarding Downsview Cottage It is on a very noisy road, with a level crossing nearby. We were led to believe that the field was used for Agility Training, not for a succession of dogs to be exercised each half an hour. The gate made a noise each time the dog walker changed, my dogs hated it, they were confused. They became stressed and noisy We knew we could only use the field twice daily, but didn't realise this applied to getting rid of poo bags or using the washing machine. There was CCTV surveillance all the time and security lights. We are quiet at home with no traffic and darkness at night. We did not sleep, neither did the dogs, so we left on Tuesday. We didn't go anywhere, it was so hot, too hot for the dogs and Hilary who is recovering from a stroke. I got the impression we were expected to be out in the day, We didn't take any photos We certainly would not visit again."

"We had a lovely 2 weeks at the cottage in August. It is spacious, comfortable and has all the equipment you could want. It has 2 local shops & big Sainsbury & Tesco is about a 5-10 mins drive away. We didn't use the local pubs as they are quite expensive, but there is a Hungry Horse, Pizza Hut & several take away shops nearby. We visited Portsmouth, Chichester, Brighton & Bognor Regis several times and enjoyed the sites and attractions they had to offer. The only things I was disappointed with was the original Hot tube wasn't working and a temporary one was supplied. This errored a few times and we had to google to find out what was wrong with it, most of the time it was just the filter which we replaced and then had to wash a few times. All in all we had a great stay in a lovely cottage."

"We had a great time and the property is interesting and well equipped! It has a few minor maintenance issues including some of the locks around the house being very difficult to use (I guess because of the sea air) and a tap in the upstairs bathroom that is very difficult to turn off! We had a lovely time and would very much recommend it as a holiday home. We were a little disappointed that the nearest local shop had closed (and the Fish & Chip Shop seemed to be closed for 3 weeks) since we last stayed there, but found another not too far away. Going in February half-term we found the house quite cold when we arrived, but we did manage to get it sufficiently warm despite very cold weather."

"The property was clean but is looking rather shabby in places. The kitchen window looked rotten in one corner and there was a large cobweb in the other which looked like it had been there some time. There were curtain rings missing in the top floor bedroom and some of the wallpaper is starting to peel off. The wardrobe doors don't fit properly. Outside, the patio area is covered in weeds and isn't very inviting. The guttering above the front bedroom is loose and when it was windy, made a terrible noise. The location is great for the beach but dog owners should be aware that dogs are only allowed on some parts until 1st October and banned totally on others in the area."
