"This was our 1st visit to Marina View having been recommended by our son & his family who visited August 2017. It had a lot to live up to compared to our previous venue that we had stayed at twice a year for the last 15 years & had recently closed down due to owners retirement. (We are former Island residents). The en-suite bedroom was ideal for our 39 yr old autistic son, especially having a TV, which saved us having to bring one for him! Generally there were no real issues except no mattress protector on the 5 ft (2nd bedroom bed). Also in that bedroom the wardrobe doors should be the other way round so that the mirrored door can be used without banging elbows on the adjacent wall & standing in the small gap between the robe & chest of drawers (there are no other mirrors in that room). The stair gate should be easily removable (negotiating it to carry suitcases /base up & down is a pain) & should be available as necessary). Oven & grill pan needs a good proper clean ( didn't use it - where was the grill pan handle?) Lower dishwasher basket/tray needs at least new wheels or replacing. Having made all these comments, we are returning for 2 weeks in September as we booked this at that the same time as our most recent visit - we did really ENJOY our stay at Marina View - comfortable beds & sofas, many extras like you have at home. plenty of spare linen/towels + the tea/coffee/milk & bottle of wine there on arrival + very friendly & helpful caretaker Danny set the tone for an enjoyable stay - thank you!"

"We booked a 2 bedroom Adrift lodge. It had been beautifully designed and felt more spacious than other lodges we have stayed in on other sites. We had a peaceful spot at the top of the hill with a lovely view. We were glad to be here as the main site was very busy with caravans and lodges quite close together. The lodge had 2 double beds (not great with children), a broken window handle, missing parts of blinds, we couldn't get freezer to work and one of the toilets leaked. They wouldn't change the beds to twin (even though this is what the photo had shown) which meant that every night we had to deal with squabbling children who didn't want to share a bed.It was difficult to get hold of staff over the weekend to resolve issues. As everyone was checking in at 4pm on Saturday for half term week it would have made sense to have staff available later that evening to deal with everyone's issues. Instead they shut at 6pm and we couldn't get hod of anyone until after the bank hol.As we've come to expect with these sort of holidays the lodge wasn't properly clean (but we have had worse) so we came prepared to wipe out drawers, etc before unpacking. It felt like they'd invested money in designing and building a high quality lodge a couple of years ago but hadn't bothered to maintain it to that standard which was a shame. We also found a lighter and a small bag of what we think was drugs in a kitchen drawer. I didn't even bother to attempt to contact staff - we just binned it - not good when you have kids!"

"This comfortable, cosy bungalow contributed greatly to a wonderful holiday on the Isle. The main bedroom is spacious, the wooden bed a bit creaky. The 2nd bedroom is smaller with a metal bed, my mother slept like a baby in it. Very nice quality bedding. The kitchen is well equipped, has 2 ovens, grill and microwave. Generous welcome pack on arrival. The living room has 2 sofas and 2 arm chairs, with a great view over the Solent. There is a small enclosed garden to the back our dog really enjoyed. The drive is a bit steep to park on and then there are 4 steps up to the front door, my elderly mum had to navigate them with care. The house is in a quiet close, we could sleep with the windows open and not hear anything. Wifi very good and freeview on tv. We met the owners briefly, who are lovely, into sailing. A good selection of books available in the house to read, there are DVDs and CDs. This is the best cottage we have been to sofar, highly recommended!"

"This has to be one of the best cottages you could ever book. It is so clean, comfortable and homely. The location is stunning and the photos on the website do not do it justice - especially the amazing sea view from the lounge. The front garden has tables and chairs and you sit out there facing the sea - wonderful and peaceful. It is located in a cul-de-sac so again, this is peaceful. Delightful back garden, again with table and chairs, safe and secure if you take your dog. If we hadn't already booked 2 weeks in Cumbria next year, we would have been back like a shot. Lovely owners who live next door but are never ever intrusive - even a welcome pack when you get there - just a brilliant cottage"

"The bungalow is very comfortable and homely. The photograph does not do it justice as the interior is spacious and well designed. The flower gardens around the property are very pretty and well cared for with ample seating available. There is a delightful sea view from the side window and the sunsets are glorious to observe in the evenings. The bungalow is very clean and provides everything that you would find in your own home. The owners are very helpful and friendly. It is in easy walking range of the sea, a local public house/restaurant and a delightful waterside eating place.Cowes can be easily reached on foot or by car . A fantastic holiday location."
