"We had an excellent time at Tulchan Lodge and would definitely like to visit again. A very relaxing time inside the lodge and outside on the lovely well maintained and furnished garden. Access via the private road is a bit rough but once you get to the property drive it's very impressive. The views from the lodge are amazing and not another living soul in site apart from sheep, cows and the wild pheasants. The lodge itself is very spacious, we were a party of 16 (4 families of 2 adults & 2 children) therefore 2 rooms and a bathroom per family so everyone had their own space too. The large living room was hardly used, the large dining room was used only once as we spent most of our time in the kitchen/family area and conservatory. Basic Sky TV channels available but that was hardly watched, the WiFi service was very good specially on the ground floor and some rooms on the upper floors. The weather was good enough to to have a lovely BBQ with the gas BBQ provided We had some minor issues with the water supply in the turret bathroom and the top floor bathroom but it was minor and possibly due to so many people having showers at the same time. We also had problems getting the gas oven to work but the agar more than made up for it. None of these spoilt our stay.Overall very good value for money and we were very happy with Tulchan Lodge."

"There was definitely a WOW moment on arrival . Great size of rooms . Great ambience .We had a marvellous weekend and everyone had a fantastic time . We are recommending this to anyone who will listen . The absence of WiFi and only one bar on the phone of the person who had a Vodaphone contract made it a throwback to the good old days when board games ruled and no one played with their phone , texting and messaging whilst having dinner. In fact the absence of modern enhancements was a major factor in the success of the weekend . The weather was abysmal but who cared ! You could be picky and say that the sofas and chairs though fitting the house ,desperately needed recushioning and that the the bathrooms needed upgraded , but who cares . Take wine . CD`s , games and good intent . ENJOY!"

"We had a great time for two weeks using the lodge as a base for my daughters wedding. The furnishings are older than the house itself and lend to the place a lot of character. Location is superb if you like it quiet with great scenery and a central base to explore from. One thing I loved is plenty of heat and hot water as you need it. We were preparing for a wedding with a house full of guests and still never ran out of hot water. The lodge loses marks a little for having little worktop space in the kitchen which is frustrating when you are catering for a party. Also approach track needs attention. You don't need a 4x4 today but if it deteriorates too much more then maybe. None of that would stop me from staying again though and I recommend it to others."

"The house was a great size there were 13 of us [three generations] plus 3 dogs. The dining room had a lovely big table so everyone could eat together, there was another huge room which would of been great for a snooker/pool table to play at in the evenings as unfortunately there was only one TV which was in the kitchen, lots of board games were needed. the bedrooms where all big although the mattress in the balcony room was not great as you could feel the springs....!!!! lots of shower rooms for every one and plenty of hot water.... always needed after getting wet when hill walking. the washing machine and dryer were a little tempremental at times and the log burner just smoked so we had to put it out, we still had a lovely week and would visit again."

"This is our second trip to Ivy Knoll and definitely won't be our last. We are seasoned travellers within Scotland and this is the best place we have stayed, by a clear mile. Ivy Knoll is very spacious, warm, comfortable and relaxing. The scenery is breathtaking and the setting is beautiful. The local eateries are within walking distance with the best fare Scotland has to offer. The local people are very welcoming and keen to share their knowledge and fare of the area. We cannot recommend Ivy Knoll highly enough. You , and your dog will not be disappointed and you will most likely want to return to this special place in Scotland. Thank you, Ivy Knoll, you are the best."
