Large cottages are great for fun evenings in together, but if you’re looking for a day out you will be spoilt for choice in Cornwall. The north coast has amazing surf, whereas the south coast is more sheltered. Both offer brilliant places to while away a sunny day; don’t forget an ice-cream or cream tea! Further inland you’ll find wonderful walking along footpaths and quiet lanes. There are numerous attractions to choose from; including wild gardens, historic sites and family-friendly activities. Cornwall really does have it all if you’re looking for a break with a large group.

"A very homely feel to this cottage. Lots of seating and good to have two rooms so people could separate if they wanted a quiet corner! Beds weren't very comfortable. We were a family of three generations - the grandparents nabbed the master bedroom because it was easier for them to have the walk-in shower rather than climb over the bath in the main bathroom. Mum and Dad of the group had the second double room - although not small, it did feel as though we'd got "second best" with the smaller (cheap?) bed and limited clothes storage. Bedding was good quality though. Good range of kitchen equipment. Lovely idea to have a seat under the shaded area in the garden but it was just too mossy to actually want to use it! Would be nice to have a second bath mat - with up to 4 people using it one after the other, it was never dry!! No shaver charging point in the main bathroom. No mirror placed in a sensible position for hair-drying. A hand towel for the kitchen and downstairs toilet would be helpful. We recycle nearly everything when we are home but afraid we became very lazy during holiday - with no recycling boxes, we ended up putting everything in landfill sacks. Sorry, but when we've paid a lot of money to go on holiday, we are not looking to spend our time dealing with sacks of rubbish and travelling to recycling centres. Not enough dishwasher tablets or bin bags for a week. Your information folder REALLY needs to be completely updated, there have been so many bits changed by hand, and it is really unpleasant to handle as it's so old and grubby; such a simple change that wouldn't cost much to do! I hope you will take this as constructive rather than just grumbling - they are all minor points but it causes irritation after a week - and they could all be fairly easily improved on for future visitors. Landline phone for emergencies proved invaluable for us as one of our group unfortunately became ill during our holiday and had to stay in hospital for 3 days so good to have security of landline when mobile reception failed (but is there a problem with the phone, it was very difficult to hear people?). All in all this was a lovely cottage we were pleased to come home to and the minor issues listed above would not prevent us from coming back - it's just we don't get away much as a family during the year, that when we have our annual holiday we are seeking an absolutely perfect break!"

"Very nice cottage in a great location. Good garden for the dogs, but not totally secure. Large, well equipped and comfortable. Just a few niggles that would be easily resolved and make all the difference:1. No hand soap (which had been noted previously).2. No oven instructions and when we called the agent he wasn't very helpful. One issue was that the oven was switched off at the wall and the clock needed to be re-set. We found instructions ourselves on google. Other electrical appliances where left on so it would help to leave the oven on also.3. The information booklet stated that some cleaning products were available but there were none.4. The information booklet was shabby and out of date (which had been previously noted).5. There was only one extra black sack. We managed, but a party of six would not.6. There are no recycling facilities which we found incredible.7. We tried to use the vacuum but it was broken and difficult to use.8. The windows were dirty.9. The en-suite had dirt and mould on the vanity unit, tiles and ceiling. Not luxury!"

"What a beauty - what a stunner. Perfect peaceful location. Away from the hussle and bussle but only a quick car journey away from Tintagel Boscastle and Bude to name a few. Directions provided by Yvonne were spot on. The cottage was out of this world. Well equipped with everything we needed including dishwasher tablets, cream tea and fresh flowers. Literally everything had been thought of down to books, dvds, games and toys. The dolls house was a huge hit with our little one. Yvonne and Farmer Graham were very welcoming and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for more. We fed the ducks, tractor ride and Farmer Graham answered our many questions. Nothing was too much trouble. We quickly made friends with the very friendly Murphy and Pumpkin the farm dogs. Would highly recommend to anyone and hope to return soon"

"The one local amenity The Village Inn, was excellent. I would recommend this to able bodied people. The managers were very efficient and friendly. But if one of your party needs a really accessible property: There are grab rails around the downstairs toilet and a slope to the front door; Both upstairs and downstairs showers are over bath, not easy for the over 80's in our party and completely inaccessible for my father who needs assistance walking; there are no grab rails, or mirror, or towel rail, near the downstairs sink; without moving at least 2 of the ( very heavy and soft) chairs, there is no access to the dining table for a wheelchair. The grounds are lovely, but pushing a wheelchair on the loose stones was very difficult."

"The house was a good size and spacious for7 adults and and a toddler. Each bedroom had an ensuite and good wardrobe space and draws. The curtains in the main bedroom were very creased and the bedding in all the rooms could be improved as it was very dated.Good size dining table but some chairs well used and clicked. The garage and the hut at the back had old curtains and sheets hung up at the windows and looked scruffy. The garden at back is a good size and nice dining table and chairs. There are some nice sun loungers but needed a good clean and one was broken. The garden had lots of nice pots in but they were all full of weeds which spoilt it.Lovely touch of cream tea left for us."
