What our customers say about their holidays

    • David - Verified booking

      What an absolute Gem!

Can’t say enough good things about the property and equally importantly the land it sits in and around. The house has been restored with great care and the attention to details shines through in every room. The documents showing the renovations shed some light on exactly how much time, effort and money went into bringing the farmhouse back to life. All of the owners fields are gated and fully accessible and there’s benches down by the beautiful river where you can also take a wild dip if you feel inclined (we did). Walk out the door and across the road following the pathway and you’re launched into 500 acres of wild Brecon Landscape where you’re free to roam, or drive 5 mins away 8th the MOD owned land and you’re treated to a spectacular mountain pass. On our stay we struck out as far as New Quay to watch dolphins and also climbed Pen Y Fan on the Horseshoe Loop then took in the Waterfall Walks. Every day was made more perfect by arriving back at the Farmhouse and as you’re only 10-15 mins from Brecon, shops and restaurants are all in striking distance. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed and if you get the opportunity have a chat with the owners and locals, they’re great people who are warm and welcoming.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this holiday property near Beacon.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that a lot of thought and care had gone into making this a perfect retreat for families and groups. The facilities were truly exceptional. The property was spotless, beautifully furnished, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen had all the essentials (and more!), making it easy to prepare meals. The spacious lounge and cozy bedrooms made it feel like a home away from home. The highlight for us, though, was the brilliant games room! It was a hit with both the kids and adults. From table tennis to pool and board games, there was something for everyone. It kept the children entertained for hours, and we enjoyed some friendly competition ourselves. The location was another bonus—close to Beacon, with plenty of nearby attractions and scenic walks to explore. It was the perfect balance of peaceful countryside and access to local amenities. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing holiday. We’ll definitely be back!

This little cottage touched us with its rural charm and beauty offering peaceful and quiet rest in the heart of Welsh farmers’ region. We spent a week there and truly love it. This location offers close access to lovely woodlands areas with amazing views suitable for walking, running or mountain biking, a good distance (40min) by car from Pen y Fan peak near Brecon town. The accommodation was clean and kitchen equipped with everything you need for self-catering accommodation. The owners take care of everything for your comfort. We met Ian, the farmer, who is such a charismatic person and being very helpful with local information. There is no wi-fi but very good 4G network cover. Big thank you to Wendy and Ian offering their cottage for holiday makers and make us feel home from the time you open the door.

What a fantastic house & excellent host.

Beautiful setting, luxury fixtures & fittings, every need catered for , for all ages from the outside park, the outside was totally enclosed & safe, the huge games room with a log fine which was a massive hit with us all, where we spent every evening. If you’re looking for a family break for grandparents, children & grandchildren look no further. There is a big lounge area, snug, not forgetting the fabulous kitchen so everyone is catered for. The surrounding area offers lovely walks, nearby the Brecon canal boats where we rented a self drive boat for 8 & also an outdoor activity centre where we all spent a fun filled afternoon attempting some archery. We made some happy precious memories during our stay, so a big thank you to Robert our host for sharing this beautiful house.

This is our second visit to the cottage as we loved it so much the first time we booked again this year.

The cottage is lovely, it’s exceptionally clean and well equipped for a self catering holiday. The owners are lovely and friendly too, we chatted to them and they recommended places to visit, routes to take and good local places to eat. Since last year the cottage had been upgraded with some redecoration and an extra window added which made it even better. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring so many different places including South Wales coast, beaches, cities, the Brecon Beacons, Gower as well as much of South West England including the Cotswolds, the coast and lots of pretty villages and stunning scenery. All together a wonderful place to stay. We will definitely visit again.
